PORTABLE SOUND SYSTEM
20170105070 · 2017-04-13 ·

A system for enhancing sound includes a support structure and one or more panels forming a panel structure. The panel structure defines a first and second portion of an oblong enclosure, both forming an approximated double ellipse profile, comprising a material having a sound reflective surface, and held by the support structure. The first portion extends between a first area proximate a first speaker driver and a second area proximate the listener. The second portion extends between a third area proximate a second speaker driver and a fourth area proximate the listener. The two portions are shaped such that sound waves emitted laterally from the first and second speaker drivers are reflected and focused toward the listener as three-dimensional sound.

DEVICE FOR HANGING A SOUND-ABSORBING PANEL OR THE LIKE
20170074301 · 2017-03-16 ·

A device which can be fixed to the edge of a panel, for example a sound-absorbing panel formed by heat-bonded synthetic fibres, is disclosed. The device includes a body with a longitudinal through-hole and two walls which define a cavity for enclosing the edge of the panel. The through-hole communicates with the cavity. The through-hole is configured to guide a threaded element (screw or the like) towards the cavity so that the threaded element engages at least with the edge of the panel so that it expands towards the walls of the cavity and is firmly retained by them.

Two-piece track system

A fire-rated receiver channel includes at least one intumescent or other fire-resistant material strip. The receiver channel can nest with a framing member, such as metal tracks, headers, header tracks, sill plates, bottom tracks, metal studs, wood studs or wall partitions, and placed at a perimeter of a wall assembly to create a fire block arrangement. In other arrangements, a track assembly includes two nested tracks, an inner track and outer track. The assembly is designed so that the outside width of the outer track is equal to or less than the outside width of the inner track to present a substantially flush external surface for attachment of exterior sheathing elements when the assembly is used in an external wall.

Fire Resistant Wallboard

A fire resistant wallboard with carbon black and expandable graphite. A carbon black layer is positioned between the conventional cover sheet and a gypsum core with embedded expandable graphite. The carbon black layer may be employed either with one of the cover sheets or with both of the cover sheets.

Object handling system and method

A vehicle for use with an object handling system, the object handling system including two substantially perpendicular sets of rails forming a first grid, a plurality of first uprights supporting the first grid, a plurality of containers arranged in stacks, each stack being located underneath the first grid, one or more robotic load handling devices configured to drive on top of the rails of the first grid, the one or more load handling devices including means for removing or replacing at least one container from the stacks. The vehicle includes two substantially perpendicular sets of rails forming a second grid substantially at the top of the vehicle above a storage space for carrying containers. The second grid interfaces with the first grid to allow the one or more load handling devices to drive from the rails of the first grid onto the rails of the second grid.

Cap for a temporary wall system providing fire barrier protection

A barrier system for partitioning a space includes wall panels which interlock with each other to provide a modular wall that is fire rated. The interlocking panels are assembled in the barrier in columns using a first tongue and groove assembly and a panel lock using a strike and latch supported by the tongue member and groove member, respectively. The barrier system further includes cap panel which adjoin each at a joint to provide a modular ceiling that is fire rated. The cap panels are assembled in the barrier to corresponding wall panels using a second tongue and groove assembly and a panel lock using a strike and latch supported by the tongue member and groove member, respectively.

Interior construction structures and systems

An interior building structure is provided and comprises a plurality of side walls, each comprising an exterior surface, an interior surface, a bottom end, and a top end opposite the bottom end, the bottom end being connected to a lower base building slab of the base building and the top end being free. A lateral support structure is further provided that extends from a first wall to a second wall of the plurality of side walls. Airspace portions are formed from gaps between the side walls and the base building structure, decoupling the walls of the interior building structure from the base building structure.

Wall assembly and a soundproof booth

A wall assembly for a soundproof space includes a wall module having a first wall and a second wall joined together at end portions of the module to form an enclosure therebetween, and sound absorbing material within the enclosure. The enclosure is formed of the first wall and the second wall, and the first wall and/or the second wall provides an incombustible surface. A soundproof booth includes the wall assembly.

Wall structures of extrudable building material

Techniques for and examples of a partition wall structure of a building are described, including a first shell formed as a first wythe including a first group of stacked elongated beads of extruded building material, a second shell spaced apart from the first shell and formed as a second wythe that has a second group of stacked elongated beads of extruded building material, and at least one structural support having a first portion embedded in the first wythe, and a second portion embedded in the second wythe.
