Methods and Systems for Advanced Disinfection and Decontamination
Embodiments described herein relate to methods and systems for the simultaneous decontamination and disinfection of surface and airborne contaminants. In particular, catalytically boosting the performance of a class of oxidizing biocides for improved antimicrobial performance and shorter contact times is disclosed.
ANTIVIRAL AND ANTIBACTERIAL DISINFECTION AERO-SOLUTION USING EDIBLE FOOD DYES
A whole-body or whole-room voluminous antiviral and antibacterial airborne disinfection system is disclosed which includes a sterilization chamber, including a nozzle disposed in the sterilization chamber, a tank disposed outside the sterilization chamber, the tank is adapted to hold a photosensitizer fluid of edible food dyes, a light source within the sterilization chamber adapted to flood the sterilization chamber with light; and a nozzle adapted to release the photosensitizer fluid aerosols and generate reactive oxygen species in a fog-like dispersion.
PURIFICATION DEVICE OF EXERCISE ENVIRONMENT
A purification device of exercise environment is provided and includes a main body, a purification unit, a gas guider and a gas detection module. The main body has at least one gas inlet and at least one gas outlet. The purification unit, the gas guider and the gas detection module are disposed in the main body. The purification unit filters a gas in an exercise environment introduced through the at least one gas inlet. The gas guider operates continuously to transport the gas in the exercise environment to be introduced through the at least one gas inlet and to flow through the purification unit. The gas detection module detects a gas information and a particulate cleanliness of the air in the exercise environment, and the particulate cleanliness of the gas in the breathing region around the nose of the exerciser reaches 0˜20 μg/m.sup.3 accordingly.
Aircraft cabin disinfection
The disclosure describes a method for disinfecting an aircraft cabin that includes injecting a non-peroxide disinfectant into an environmental control system of an aircraft and discharging cabin supply air through the environmental control system to discharge the non-peroxide disinfectant into the aircraft cabin. In some instances, the method includes aerosolizing the disinfectant into a plurality of liquid droplets while injecting the disinfectant into the environmental control system. In some instances, the injected disinfectant includes a non-corrosive, non-toxic disinfectant, such that the disinfectant may be discharged into the aircraft cabin in the presence of personnel in the aircraft cabin.
VOLATILE COMPOSITION DISPENSER WITH VISUAL INDICATOR
A volatile composition dispenser including a solid article having a volatile composition and a peripheral evaporative surface. The solid article shrinks relative to the peripheral evaporative surface from an initial size to a reduced size smaller than the initial size upon exposure of the solid article to the environment in an interior space. The solid article is characterized by a shrinkage in a direction away from the peripheral evaporative surface of greater than 1% to less than 40%. A visual indicator is located proximal to the peripheral evaporative surface of the solid article. The dispenser has a first configuration in which the visual indicator is not visually perceptible, and a second configuration in which the visual indicator is visually perceptible upon shrinkage of at least a portion of the solid article from the initial size to the reduced size for indicating a state of use of the dispenser.
Air decontamination and self-renewing purification system utilizing a filter
An air purification system includes a conduit extending between an inlet and an outlet, each in fluid communication with an enclosed environment. Ambient air from the enclosed environment enters the conduit via the inlet and treated air exits the conduit and enters the enclosed environment via the outlet. The system further includes a fibrous filter disposed within the conduit and configured to treat the ambient air thereby generating the treated air, and a renewal unit disposed within the conduit and configured to renew the fibrous filter.
PATHOGEN CONTAINMENT DEVICE
The present invention provides a safer way to intubate patients having communicable diseases, such as bacterial and viral infections. It protects health care professionals performing the intubation from bodily fluids of the patients that might otherwise be projected directly onto them by coughing, gagging, vomiting, or sneezing. Additionally, it traps airborne suspensions or aerosols containing pathogens, such as bacterial, myco-bacterial, viral, or fungal infections, originating from the patient and keeps them from entering into the air in close proximity to the healthcare professionals. The contaminated air can then be vented to a location which is away from personnel, such as an outdoor containment area. In one embodiment of this invention the contaminated air is passed through a disinfecting solution which destroys the pathogens before the air is recycled into the environment, such as the room where the intubation is carried out.
PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION FOR THE TREATMENT OF COVID-19
The invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition based on a chlorine dioxide solution, for use as a therapeutic agent in the topical, oral, and/or parenteral treatment of viral infections of the human or animal body, caused by SARS-CoV-2 coronaviruses.
MULTI-FUNCTIONAL POWDER IMCREE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
Presented here is a multi-functional powder which: comprises the first component that includes one selection from the group consisting of silicon oxide (SiO2), aluminum oxide (Al2O3), calcium oxide (CaO), magnesium oxide (MgO), and combinations thereof; and the second component that includes at least one selection from the group consisting of iron oxide (Fe2O3), potassium oxide (K2O), sodium oxide (Na2O), strontium oxide (SrO), sulfur trioxide (S3O), boron oxide (B2O3), manganese oxide (MnO), titanium dioxide (TiO2), and combinations thereof; whose far-infrared emission rate for the wavelength region of 5 .Math.ms to 20 .Math.ms at 37° C. is between 0.5% and 5%; whose harmful gas deodorization balance index under the following Formula 1 is between 0.8 and 2.0; and whose bacterial reduction rate (%) is 90% or greater for each of staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 6538), Escherichia coli (ATCC 8739), Klebsiella pneumonia (ATCC 4352), and Pseudomonas aeruginosa (ATCC 10145).
FLUID DISPERSAL APPARATUS FOR AIR QUALITY CONTROL OF TRANSITORY SOURCE
An apparatus for dispensing an air quality control fluid over refuse includes a movable base with a self-contained fluid reservoir, a pump, and an array of nozzles for dispensing the fluid. A method for using the apparatus includes relocating the apparatus as locations of fresh refuse or air movement over the pile shifts.
