Seismic damage reducing system for partitions

Seismic damage reducing system for partitions. A seismic protective structure (100) for forming part of a board partition (190) and for limiting damage to the board partition (190) when a given level of seismic stress is appearing, is described. The seismic protective structure (100) comprising a breaking mechanism (107) introduced near an upper corner and/or lower corner of board partition (190), wherein the breaking mechanism (107) is adapted for, when a given level of seismic stress is appearing, intentionally causing damage of the board partition (190) thereby releasing stress from the remainder of the board partition (190).

Modular non-metallic partitions

A modular partition system includes a non-metallic polymer frame assembly. Horizontal members of frame sub-assemblies of the frame assembly are slidably engaged such that a width of a rectangular opening of the frame assembly can be adjusted by sliding the first frame sub-assembly and the second frame sub-assembly together or apart. Front surfaces of the frame sub-assemblies include notches on their front surfaces. The system also includes a non-metallic rectangular polymer panels with non-metallic pegs. If the width of the rectangular opening is adjusted to a specified width, the notches and the pegs align and the pegs can insert into the notches, thereby attaching the panel to the frame assembly.

WALL CONNECTION SYSTEM

A wall connection system is disclosed, which includes a horizontal building frame component with a first vertical face that has a first slot. The system further includes a prefabricated wall structure with a plurality of parallel studs and an elongate member connect to each stud. The elongate member has a second vertical face with a second slot and is parallel to the first vertical face. The long axis of the first slot is perpendicular to the long axis of the second slot. A fastener assembly connects the horizontal building frame component to the wall structure, through the slots.

A system for reversibly providing a wall, comprising: a first panel comprising first track followers on each of opposite side edges of the first panel; a first pair of tracks adapted to receive the first track followers and that are generally vertical on opposite sides of a space, each comprising: a top at a point overhead, and a lower point part-way to the floor of the space; a second panel comprising: upper second track followers on sides of the second panel near a top edge of the second panel, and lower second track followers on sides of the second panel near a bottom edge of the second panel; wherein, as the first panel is lowered, the first track followers ride in one of the first pair of tracks until at least one first track follower reaches the bottom of the one of the first pair of tracks, thus allowing the first panel, when lowered, to form a first portion of the wall; a second panel comprising: upper second track followers on each of opposite side edges of the first panel proximate to a top edge of the second panel, lower second track followers on each of opposite side edges of the first panel proximate to a bottom edge of the second panel; a second pair of tracks that are generally vertical on opposite sides of the space to be divided and generally parallel to the first set of tracks, each comprising: a top at a point overhead, a junction where a spur track separates from the second track, a spur track at a point part-way to the floor that angles over from the second pair of tracks to a point below and in vertical alignment the first pair of tracks, a bottom at a point at or above the floor, wherein the lower second track follower interacts with the toggle switch, as the second panel is lowered, to move the toggle switch from a first position to a second position, and wherein the lower second track follower interact with the toggle switch, as the second panel is raised, to move the toggle switch from the second position to the first position; wherein the toggle switch, when in the second position, diverts the upper second track follower from the second pair of tracks into the spur; wherein the bottom of the second track is in vertical alignment with the first track; wherein, as the second panel is lowered, the lower second track followers reach the bottom of the second pair of tracks and the upper second track followers reach the bottom of the spur, thus allowing the second panel, when lowered, to form a second portion of the wall; and a toggle switch at the junction of the second track having a first position such that a track follower in the second track will continue past the junction remaining in the second track and will move the toggle to

Dry partition wall system and method for installation of a dry partition wall system of this kind

A dry partition wall system comprising a plurality of wall elements, a floor-side connection element extending over several wall elements, a ceiling-side connection element extending over several wall elements, in which the plurality of wall elements are arranged side by side and are retained on the floor-side connection element and on the ceiling side-connection element and thus jointly form a partition wall, and in which the wall elements are of a multi-layer design.

TWO-PIECE TRACK SYSTEM

A fire-rated receiver channel includes at least one intumescent or other fire-resistant material strip. The receiver channel can nest with a framing member, such as metal tracks, headers, header tracks, sill plates, bottom tracks, metal studs, wood studs or wall partitions, and placed at a perimeter of a wall assembly to create a fire block arrangement. In other arrangements, a track assembly includes two nested tracks, an inner track and outer track. The assembly is designed so that the outside width of the outer track is equal to or less than the outside width of the inner track to present a substantially flush external surface for attachment of exterior sheathing elements when the assembly is used in an external wall.

Wall seal

A system for sealing a space defined between a modular wall and a permanent structure includes a sealing material connected to the permanent structure and the modular wall and spanning the space defined therebetween. The sealing material is configured to transform from an expanded state to a recovered state in response to a stimulus to form a seal. The stimulus can be, for example, heat, whereby heating the sealing material at or above the transition temperature for the sealing material causes the sealing material to transition from the expanded state to the recovered state.
