A concrete wall formwork module is provided in which the lateral and longitudinal opposite side edges of the modules are provided with complementary shapes that lock in place two adjacent modules when they are both deployed. The opposite side edges of adjacent modules interlock in one direction and are configured for adjoining according to a shiplap arrangement in the other direction.

An insulated concrete form panel system, and method of making same, is provided, the system and method comprising first and second opposed panels forming a cavity therebetween and an internal connector frame serving as a mold for receiving expandable polymer material to form the first and second panels, such that the irreleasably pre-assembled connector frame extends between, and is integral to, first and second panels. The present system provides first and second panel pairs may be mechanically connected to panel pairs positioned adjacent thereto (e.g. above, below, or side-by-side), increasing integrity of the structure.

A concrete wall has a back surface supported by a back panel while a decorative material is applied to an opposing front surface of the wall by hand or by pneumatic projection while the surface is still plastic, and without using bonding agents. The decorative material may be further exposed by a surface treatment before or after the front surface is floated and finished, with a sealant optionally applied thereafter. The front surface may be created by pneumatic methods or by pouring concrete into forms and removing the front panel to expose the front surface while it is still plastic but hydrated enough not to slump.

A tornado resistant/proof residential housing unit that is built to withstand natural disaster conditions resulting from tornadoes, violent storms, and fire. An internal concrete reinforced core layout gives the unit its structural strength, as well as the versatility needed to face natural disaster conditions while providing absolute resistance to heavy winds such as those caused by a tornado. The unit has an external facade which mimics the exterior appearance of a typical subdivision home.

A modular assembly for forming a shear wall includes a modular frame having a first side, and formwork. The formwork has a reinforcing bar cage and a first wall each coupled to the first side of the modular frame. The first wall is disposed between the reinforcing bar cage and the first side of the modular frame.

Disclosed is a spacer for a disposable formwork for the construction of a wall, with first and second panels. The spacer mutually couples the first and second panels at a certain distance one from the other. The spacer includes: a first connecting portion coupled, in use, with the first panel; a second connecting portion opposite the first and coupled, in use, with the second panel; and at least one pipe with at least one lateral opening communicating, in use, outside the formwork. In the pipe a through hole communicates, in use, with the formwork interior, allowing air passage from the outside towards the inside part and liquid outflow from inside towards the outside of the formwork. Also disclosed is a disposable formwork for the construction of a wall, including two panels and at least one such spacer, arranged between the two panels and coupling the two panels.

A structure-lining apparatus for lining one or more surfaces of a structure formed from curable material cast in a form. The apparatus comprises a plurality of panels. The panels are connected at their respective edges in an edge-to-edge connection to provide a structure-lining surface. A plurality of anchoring components project from the panels into the liquid material during fabrication of the structure. The anchoring components each comprise one or more anchoring features which are encased in the material as the material solidifies to thereby bond the anchoring components to the structure. The plurality of anchoring components comprises one or more connector-type anchoring components for connecting to corresponding connector-type anchoring components on adjacent edges of a corresponding edge-adjacent panel to connect the edge-adjacent panels in an edge-adjacent relationship. The apparatus comprises one or more breakaway components on at least one of the plurality of panels.

A concrete tie for use in an insulated concrete panel, the concrete tie including a main body having (1) a length, an inner surface, and an outer surface; (2) a protrusion extending away from the inner surface of the main body and along the length thereof; (3) at least one upper foot extending above a top surface of the main body and at least one lower foot extending below a bottom surface of the main body, wherein the protrusion is configured to engage with a slot formed in an insulation layer.

A stay-in-place concrete formwork system allows stucco to be applied directly to the formwork, avoiding the need to provide a further surface treatment of the wall prior to applying stucco. Apertures are provided on an exterior facing wall of the formwork panel to receive and embed stucco therein. The panel may also be formed with outward stucco-engaging projections. Other features include using rigid insulation to brace the stucco and keep concrete from the apertures, a sealing joint element, extendible panels for use in curved formwork, rainscreen features and an alligator connector panel for adjustable lengths of formwork faces.

A building construction system for creating a building structure upon a foundation slab having a top surface. An inner and outer rail are secured to the foundation slab. Walls are created upon the foundation slab including interior panels and exterior panels that are secured to the inner and outer rails respectively, and corner assemblies secured to both the inner and outer rails that together define a vertical interior space therebetween. The interior and exterior panels include standard, window, and door panels that together define a vertical interior space within the walls that is partially or fully filled with a structural fill such as concrete. Ceiling joists extend upon and are supported by the interior and exterior panels, to support ceiling panels. Rafter assemblies extend upon and are supported by the ceiling joists to support roofing panels.
