A glass space partitioning system that is capable of supporting heavy and/or operable glass panels in throughout a range of partially-integrated or fully-integrated configurations, and which integrates an LED-strip light assembly for edge-lighting the glass panels. The system generally includes a framing member comprising a U-shaped horizontal profile with side walls, an intermediate profile attached to the U-shaped profile, a glass pane seated edgewise between a side wall of the U-shaped profile and the intermediate profile, a flexible LED strip cut to length and snap-fit in a vertical orientation against the side wall of the U-shaped profile and adjacent the glass pane for edge lighting, and a cover profile attached to the intermediate profile securing the foregoing.

The locking member is disposed beneath a lower surface of the horizontally-disposed supporting member. The corner latching apparatus has a corner shape and comprises a first horizontally-disposed latching arm oriented in a first direction and adapted to engage with the locking member of the first supporting apparatus. The corner latching apparatus comprises a second horizontally-disposed latching arm oriented in a second direction and a stabilizing resilient member disposed beneath a lower surface of each of the first and second horizontally-disposed latching arms, at least a portion of the stabilizing resilient member adapted to compress against an upper surface of a curtain wall member.

In a facade assembly (14) for a building (10), with at least one facade element (16), which may be fastened to a wall or an inter-story ceiling (12) of the building (10), and with at least one fire-protection element (18), which may be mounted between the facade element (16) and the wall or the inter-story ceiling (12), the fire-protection element (18) contains an insulating layer (19) and at least one angle profile (32) with two flanges (34, 36) disposed at an angle relative to one another, wherein one of the flanges (34) of the angle profile (32) is fastened to the facade element (16) and the other flange (36) of the angle profile (32) bears on the insulating layer (19).

Described is a construction for effectively thermally insulating and sealing of a safing slot between a floor of a building and an exterior wall construction wherein the exterior wall construction comprises a curtain wall configuration utilizing an interior panel module design. The Thermal insulating and sealing means includes a supplemental insulation means positioned above the primary insulation means and attached to the interior panel of a curtain wall construction to maintain thermally insulating and sealing of the safing slot during exposure to fire and heat which can cause the interior panel to deform from heat distorting to an extent beyond the capability of standard safing insulation for expanding in order to maintain a proper seal extending across the safing slot.
