Curtain wall system and components thereof

A curtain wall system including panel units to be secured to a building structure between the building structure and an external space. Each panel unit includes a first mullion segment, a second mullion segment, and one or more panels. The first mullion segment of each of the panel units is attachable to a secured second mullion segment of an installed one of the panel units, to provide a mullion assembly defining a central cavity therein in which a central volume of air is isolated for at least partially thermally insulating the building structure relative to the external space, and a boundary region between the central cavity and the external space. Each mullion assembly includes one or more thermal insulator elements to at least partially define one or more thermal breaks between the external space and the boundary region.

Advanced curtain wall top-down renovation

A curtain wall renovation system for an exterior of a building includes a plurality of new mullions attached to a top surface of a first floor slab of a first floor and extending downwardly external to the building and below an outer edge of the first floor slab, and a temporary weather shield system assembled in a second floor below the first floor and inset from an outer edge of a second floor slab. The temporary weather shield system includes a plurality of dry anchoring devices fastened to a top surface of the second floor slab, a plurality of temporary mullions supported on the top surface of the second floor slab and each including a bottom and a top, and a plurality of reusable panels, each reusable panel being secured to two laterally adjacent temporary mullions of the plurality of temporary mullions.

PREFABRICATED CURTAIN WALL ASSEMBLY

Assembling a multi-story building using a prefabricating a curtain wall assembly (CWA) involves assembling a structural frame and preparing the frame to receive a thermal insulation panel in a spandrel area. A thermal insulation panel is then supported in the spandrel area using a flange plate of a plurality of brackets that are secured to the frame. The thermal insulation panel is engaged or secured using one or more clips which retain the panel to the frame. The process continues by attaching the CWA which has been prefabricated to a floor slab on the building to form a portion of the building curtain wall.

Modular curtain wall and installing method for the same

A modular curtain wall and an installing method for the same are provided. The modular curtain wall comprises a steel structure module, a curtain wall module, and a first waterproof member. The steel structure module includes a steel structure body and a mount, and the curtain wall module includes a curtain wall body, a hook, and a first seal. When the hook is hung on the mount, the relative position between the curtain wall body and the steel structure body is adjustable in a front-back direction, the left-right direction, and an up-down direction of the steel structure body.

Advanced curtain wall mullion anchoring system

A curtain wall mullion anchoring system that does not require adjustability among the anchoring system components and the mullion to account for construction tolerance. The anchoring device can be accurately installed on a cured concrete floor slab at the proper in-and-out and left-and-right positions. A mullion connector is engaged with the anchoring device and the mullion to transfer reaction forces on the mullion to the building structure via the anchoring device. The mullion connector is slidably engaged with the mullion such that the mullion connector can slide along the length of the mullion and will be placed at the proper up-and-down position by simply sliding the mullion connector down the mullion to the anchoring device on the concrete floor slab.

CURTAIN WALL WITH A WALL ELEMENT WITH A FRAME WITH A COMPARTMENT FOR A WING OR THE LIKE AND METHOD FOR REPLACING AN INFILL ELEMENT IN A CURTAIN WALL

A curtain wall constructed from prefabricated connecting wall elements including a frame of assembled profiles on the inside of the curtain wall and of one or more filling elements on the outside. The curtain wall contains a wall element with a two-part frame including two subframes, respectively a fixed frame part and a second frame part fitted with an infill element, where the fixed frame part is located behind the second frame part seen from the outside of the curtain wall, where the fixed frame part is equipped with a rebate into which the second frame part fits and where the relevant filling element is attached to the outside of the curtain wall on the outward looking side of the second frame part using structural silicone in such a way that this outside of the second frame part is entirely covered by the filling element.

Methods, structures and systems for environmental isolation of metal window, transom and mullion surfaces, including in one aspect a metal frame structure configured to receive an operable window, the frame structure having a first thermally insulated polymer component connected to a side of the frame structure at a side wall and spanning a total width of the side wall, and an operable window having a second thermally insulated polymer component connected to a sash assembly, the window configured to close to a position defining a first gap between the second thermally insulated polymer component and the first thermally insulated polymer component and a second gap between the sash assembly and the frame structure. In one aspect at least one seal is positioned in the first gap and abutting both the second component and the first component and at least one seal positioned in the second gap and abutting both the sash assembly and the frame structure to provide improved insulation effectiveness.

Method and apparatus for producing a tubular sealing element

A method for producing of a tubular sealing element for sealing a safing slot in a curtain wall construction is described, particularly for sealing the slot with regard to noise, smoke, and fire and if applicable with regard to water, and an apparatus for producing such a tubular sealing element, as well as to the use of the tubular sealing element produced according to the invention for fire-, smoke-, sound- and water-proof sealing of perimeter joints in curtain wall constructions are described. In particular, an improved method for continuous and endless production of a tubular sealing element for different safing slot dimensions is described.

CURTAIN WALL

A curtain wall including one or more mullion profiles and one or more transom profiles, where the one or more mullion profiles extend vertically, the one or more transom profiles are attached horizontal between two mullion profiles. A barrier for water is provided on the fixing points of the transom profiles to the mullion profiles, where the barrier is adapted to divert this water to a the transom profile, where the transom profiles is adapted to drain this water to the outside of the curtain wall.
