The first and second supporting apparatuses each have a respective: vertically-disposed member; horizontally-disposed supporting member; and locking member coupled to the vertically-disposed member. The locking member is disposed beneath a lower surface of the horizontally-disposed supporting member. The corner latching apparatus has a corner shape and comprises a first horizontally-disposed latching arm oriented in a first direction and adapted to engage with the locking member of the first supporting apparatus. The corner latching apparatus comprises a second horizontally-disposed latching arm oriented in a second direction and a stabilizing resilient member disposed beneath a lower surface of each of the first and second horizontally-disposed latching arms, at least a portion of the stabilizing resilient member adapted to compress against an upper surface of a curtain wall member.

Building facade system

A building facade system includes framework having shelf members secured to the floor slabs. The top terminal ends of vertical mullions are fastened to the shelf members, thereby hanging the mullions therefrom. Horizontal support members fastened to the mullions support infill panels and are coupled to shelf members which are on the below floor slab. Intermediate support members fastened to the mullions support slab edge cover panels. Posts are fastened to the shelf members and are secured to the floor slabs within troughs formed with embedded channels. The posts are horizontally and vertically adjustably fastenable to the shelf members. The shelf members are thereby also horizontally and vertically adjustable relative to the floor slabs. Terminal edges of the floor slabs can project into mullion cutouts.

Curtain Wall Mullion Anchoring System
20170241133 · 2017-08-24 ·

Curtain wall mullion anchoring systems for resisting dead load and negative wind load, and that permit three-way construction tolerance adjustments. The mullion anchoring systems include an anchoring device secured to a building structural element and attached to a mullion connection bridge, which is connected to a mullion connection clip, which is connected to a mullion. Uplifting forces on the anchoring device may be significantly reduced or even eliminated by transmitting dead load under negative wind load conditions from the mullion to the anchoring device at a point over the inside of a concrete floor slab, such that the dead load counteracts any uplifting force generated by the negative wind load.

Holeless Curtain Wall Mullion Connection
20170234007 · 2017-08-17 · ·

A mullion connection system for resisting wind load reactions using a connection clip structurally engaged with a mullion without a hole or a fastener penetrating into the mullion surface. The connection clip can undergo stress-free vertical sliding relative to the mullion along the entire length of the mullion without impairing the structural connection strength; therefore, the building construction tolerance in the vertical direction is eliminated as a design consideration of the curtain wall system. The design also eliminates the need for pre-fabricating mullion holes for the connection locations. The design does not require the pre-determination of the elevation of the connecting point and thus is most beneficial for a curtain wall renovation project where the available locations in the building structure for structural connection cannot be determined prior to the demolition of the existing wall. The uninterrupted mullion tube cavities can be conveniently utilized for inter-floor distribution of utility lines.

Building facade system and method of forming a building facade

A building facade system which comprises a frame to support a building facade panel, a unified vertical shear blade anchor, a vertical mullion and an angled anchor member. The unified vertical shear blade anchor has a body portion and a flange extending horizontally therefrom. The flange has top and bottom surfaces with the bottom surface having serrations. The vertical mullion is secured by a shear connection to the vertical shear blade anchor. The shear connection between the vertical mullion and the vertical shear blade anchor is formed by a fastener which extends through side portions of the body portion and vertical mullion. The angle member has first and second flanges each having proximal ends joined together and opposing terminal ends. The second flange has a top surface with upwardly projecting serrations. The upwardly projecting serrations are configured for engagement with the downwardly projecting serrations of the vertical shear blade anchor.

FRAME FOR A FAÇADE, A FAÇADE ELEMENT, A WINDOW OR DOOR

A frame for a façade, a façade element, a window or a door is formed from a number of profiled elements, at which an insulating glazing unit having at least two glass panes held at a distance from one another is retained. An intermediate space under negative pressure is formed between the glass panes. The insulating glazing unit is clampingly retained at the edge thereof between an inner sealing profiled element and an outer sealing profiled element and pressure strips are provided on the exterior of the insulating glazing unit, which pressure strips are fastened to the profiled elements of the frame. A thermal-conductor arrangement is provided on and/or in the inner sealing profiled elements at least in some areas. Due to the thermal-conductor arrangement, heat can be fed to the edge of the insulating glazing unit lying against the inner sealing profiled element in the event of cold outside temperatures.

Wall systems and buildings having such wall systems are disclosed. Such wall systems include parametric mullions each of which is constructed from a plurality of interconnecting components so that the wall systems may be disposed much closer to the building frame than conventional wall systems. Such wall systems may include panels disposed to form convex or concave facades. Such wall systems may also include decorative features superimposed over one or more panels or extending outward from the facade surface. The parametric mullions may be formed into trusses which may be used as part of a wall system or independently of such wall systems.

Curtain Wall Frame Gaskets

A curtain wall system includes a vertical member and a horizontal member coupled to the vertical member at a joint. A vertical bridge gasket is coupled to the vertical member and includes a vertically-extending interior gasket, a vertically-extending thermal break gasket, and a vertical bridge member extending between the vertically-extending interior and thermal break gaskets. A horizontal bridge gasket is coupled to the horizontal member and joined to the vertical bridge gasket at a corner joint, the horizontal bridge gasket includes a horizontally-extending interior gasket, a horizontally-extending thermal break gasket, and a horizontal bridge member extending between the horizontally-extending interior and thermal break gaskets. The vertical and horizontal bridge gaskets cover the joint between the vertical and horizontal members.
