Window and curtain wall segments, structures, systems and methods
Window wall and curtain wall mullion or transom structures, members, systems and methods including an insulating component covering substantially an entirety of an outer side of a metal structural segment where the component is connected to a metal structure of the mullion or transom via an interlocking connection, the component connected to the metal structure by clamping the component to the structure with a clamp where the clamp is secured by a fastener in a spaced relationship with respect to the component.
Fire-resistant mullion sealer
A sealing plug configured for sealing a passage of a curtain wall mullion. The passage has a maximum width and a length. The sealing plug includes a main body extending from a first surface to a second surface. The main body has a width at least as large as the passage maximum width and a length at least as large as the passage length. The main body is manufactured from a compressible foam. An intumescent layer is defined along at least one of the first and second surfaces.
Thermal isolation girts and related systems and methods
Girts, systems incorporating girts, and methods of using girts are disclosed. In some embodiments, the girts are formed via an efficient metal stamping and folding process. The girts have a high mechanical strength, are easily manufactured, allow for water drainage and air circulation, improve thermal performance, decrease sound transmission, and reduce material, transportation and labor costs relative to traditional girts.
Building facade system and method of forming a building facade
A building facade system which comprises a frame to support a building facade panel, a unified vertical shear blade anchor, a vertical mullion and an angled anchor member. The unified vertical shear blade anchor has a body portion and a flange extending horizontally therefrom. The flange has top and bottom surfaces with the bottom surface having serrations. The vertical mullion is secured by a shear connection to the vertical shear blade anchor. The shear connection between the vertical mullion and the vertical shear blade anchor is formed by a fastener which extends through side portions of the body portion and vertical mullion. The angle member has first and second flanges each having proximal ends joined together and opposing terminal ends. The second flange has a top surface with upwardly projecting serrations. The upwardly projecting serrations are configured for engagement with the downwardly projecting serrations of the vertical shear blade anchor.
GLAZING FRAMING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A first embodiment of an aluminium extrusion framing system comprises a first wedge member and a second wedge member made of resilient material for securing and sealing a panel in the framing system. The framing system also comprises an aluminium extrusion having a channel adapted to receive an edge of the panel therein. A first side wall is formed with a first elongate retention means extending the full length of the extrusion for receiving the first wedge member in connection therewith. A removable cover plate is adapted to be secured to the extrusion and received in close proximity to a top edge of the first side wall of the channel whereby, in use, when the panel is installed in the channel with the first wedge member received in connection with the first retention means, the first wedge member is substantially concealed when the removable cover plate is secured to the extrusion.
CURTAIN WALL AND WALL ELEMENT THEREBY APPLIED AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SUCH A WALL ELEMENT
A curtain wall constructed from prefabricated connecting wall elements mounted in rows next to and above each other with the wall elements including a frame of assembled profiles on the inside of the curtain wall and of one or more infill elements on the outside of the curtain wall. The frame contains mullions and transoms in the form of profiles which along the perimeter of the frame have female coupling parts and male coupling parts which allow the adjacent mullions and adjacent transoms in an assembled condition in the curtain wall to engage with their coupling parts to form composite basic profiles, where between two rows of connecting wall elements a horizontal seal has been applied which extends continuously in a horizontal direction over the width of the underlying row.
THERMAL AND ACOUSTIC INSULATING AND SEALING SYSTEM FOR A SAFING SLOT IN A CURTAIN WALL
Described is a construction and parts of the construction for effectively thermally and acoustically insulating and sealing of a safing slot between a floor of a building and an exterior wall construction wherein the exterior wall construction comprises a curtain wall configuration utilizing an interior panel module design. In particular, the thermal insulating and sealing system comprises a first element comprising a top framing component having an interior wall surface and an opening, positioned substantially in the height of the floor, wherein the top framing component is located on top of the interior wall surface of the spandrel panel, and a second element comprised of a thermally resistant and/or air tight material for insulating, positioned at least partially in the top framing component of the first element, wherein the second element includes an inner end surface positionable in abutment with respect to the outer edge of the floor for sealing thereadjacent, outer end surface positionable in abutment with respect the interior wall surface of the top framing component, a lower facing surface extending between the inner end surface and the outer end surface and facing downwardly therebetween, and an upper facing surface extending between the inner end surface and the outer end surface and facing upwardly therebetween.
Systems, methods and apparatus for interlocking unitized curtainwall building façade
The present invention relates to the exterior building envelope systems. This invention particularly relates to a façade system supported by a continuous anchor secured to the slab without embedded attachments.
CURTAIN WALL SYSTEM ACCOMMODATING WIRING
A system includes a structural member providing front and back faces, and first and second webs extending between the front and back faces and laterally offset from each other to define a hollow space therebetween. A wire transfer channel is defined at an end of the first web adjacent the front face and extends into the hollow space. A shear block provides a base, a connector portion extending from the base in a first direction, and first and second legs extending from the base in a second direction opposite the first direction, wherein the first and second legs are attachable to the first web to couple the shear block to the structural member.
