Described is a construction and parts of the construction for effectively thermally and acoustically insulating and sealing of a safing slot (1) between a floor (6) of a building and an exterior wall construction wherein the exterior wall construction comprises a curtain wall configuration (2) utilizing an interior panel module design. In particular, the thermal insulating and sealing system comprises a first element (7) comprising a top framing component (8) having an interior wall surface (13) and an opening, positioned substantially in the height of the floor (6), wherein the top framing component (8) is located on top of the interior wall surface (3) of the spandrel panel (7), and a second element (9) comprised of a thermally resistant and/or air tight material for insulating, positioned at least partially in the top framing component (8) of the first element (7), wherein the second element (9) includes an inner end surface (10) positionable in abutment with respect to the outer edge (11) of the floor (6) for sealing thereadjacent, outer end surface (12) positionable in abutment with respect the interior wall surface (13) of the top framing component (8), a lower facing surface (14) extending between the inner end surface (10) and the outer end surface (12) and facing downwardly therebetween, and an upper facing surface (15) extending between the inner end surface (10) and the outer end surface (12) and facing upwardly therebetween.
Curtain wall and set and construction method for such a curtain wall
The curtain wall includes mullion profiles, transom profiles and one or more panels, where the mullion profiles extend vertically, where the transom profiles each are attached to two mullion profiles and extend horizontally, where the mullion profiles are provided with a groove on each side for receiving the side edge of a panel. The grooves have an access opening, where the access opening has a first fixed dimension or width in a horizontal direction, where the transom profiles have a second dimension in a horizontal direction and at right angles to the profile direction of the transom profiles, where the second dimension is larger than the first dimension, where the transom profiles have a third dimension in a non-horizontal direction at right angles to the profile direction, where the third dimension is smaller than the first dimension.
SYSTEMS, METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR INTERLOCKING UNITIZED CURTAINWALL BUILDING FAÇADE
The present invention relates to the exterior building envelope systems. This invention particularly relates to a façade system supported by a continuous anchor secured to the slab without embedded attachments.
Arbitrarily curved support structure
A method for producing a support structure having a three-dimensional geometry curved in any manner, includes making at least one first and one second flat material piece. The geometry has curves in three directions that are orthogonal to one another, and the method includes the following steps: A. preparing the desired geometry, B. approximating the desired geometry, C. subdividing the geometry, D. defining at least one clearance region, E. defining a plurality of connection points arranged on the at least one first and one second part, F. defining chamfered edges extending between the polygonal cross-sections, G. developing the at least one first and one second part, H. cutting to length at least one first and one second flat material piece, I. chamfering, and J. connecting the at least one chamfered first material piece and the at least one chamfered second material piece.
GLAZING ASSEMBLY FOR A CURTAIN WALL GLAZING SYSTEM
A glazing assembly for a curtain wall glazing system comprising a glazing unit and a frame structure formed by a plurality of glazing profiles. Each of the plurality of glazing profiles comprises a main structural frame part and a removable clamping part. The removable clamping parts when removed from the structural frame parts unclamp the glazing unit and open a clearance allowing removal of the glazing unit in a direction of a first area. At least one of the main structural frame parts comprises a structural portion and a mobile clamping portion. When removing the mobile clamping portion from the structural frame portions a clearance is opened allowing the performance of maintenance activities to an edge region of the glazing unit from the second area.
Wall element for a curtain wall with a compartment for a wing and a sealing element
A sealing to seal a wall element with a fixed frame having mullions and transoms with perpendicular ends with which the transoms are attached between the mullions. The fixed frame is fitted with at least one compartment with a rebate for a frame part with an infill element to create a wing that opens, or to replace a damaged infill element, where the seal is intended to create a windproof and watertight connection between the mullions and transoms in the corners of an aforementioned compartment, where the seal is made as a corner piece that is formed and sized such that, on the level of the corners to be sealed, it fits in the form of the rebate in the mullion and transom in question and overlaps and covers the connection between this mullion and transom at the level of the rebate.
Insulated Metal Panel and Curtain Wall Systems
Wall systems and buildings having such wall systems are disclosed. Such wall systems include parametric mullions each of which is constructed from a plurality of interconnecting components so that the wall systems may be disposed much closer to the building frame than conventional wall systems. Such wall systems may include panels disposed to form convex or concave facades. Such wall systems may also include decorative features superimposed over one or more panels or extending outward from the facade surface. The parametric mullions may be formed into trusses which may be used as part of a wall system or independently of such wall systems.
Curtain wall system and panel support assembly therefor
A curtain wall system for a building structure, comprising: a frame structure with a plurality of wall panels secured thereto to define an outer building structure wall; a plurality of supporting chair members extending laterally away from a corresponding frame member of the frame structure for receiving a corresponding wall panel, each chair member being sufficiently rigid for supporting the corresponding wall panel in a cantilevered configuration relative to the corresponding frame member, each supporting chair member having an appendage connector located at a distal side end thereof; and an exterior appendage member having a distal chair connector for engaging the appendage connector of at least one supporting chair member to attach the appendage member to the at least one supporting chair member such that the exterior appendage member extends away from the at least one supporting chair member and towards the exterior of the building structure.
