Ceiling type seismic impact buffer unit
Disclosed is a ceiling type seismic impact buffer unit which may perform a buffering action of reducing vibration or the impact applied thereto attributable to earthquakes, typhoons, etc. without direct transmission of the vibration or the impact to a ceiling panel installed on a ceiling. The ceiling type seismic impact buffer unit includes a housing main body, a first coupling bolt, which is fixed into a coupling hole formed in the center of the upper surface of the housing main body and has a front end connected to an upper connection rod, a second coupling bolt, which is fixed to a sliding contactor through a sliding guide hole formed in the center of the lower surface of the housing main body and has a front end connected to a lower connection rod, and a restoring spring, which has upper and lower ends coupled to first and second fixing washers.
Sprinkler drop bracket for intersecting downlight
A method for assembling a sprinkler support assembly, the method including fitting a saddle of a mounting bracket over a grid support of a ceiling system; fastening an attachment leg of the mounting bracket to a suspension frame of the ceiling system with a fastener, the attachment leg disposed at a first bracket end of the mounting bracket, the saddle disposed at a second mounting bracket end of the mounting bracket opposite from the first bracket end, the grid support extending laterally outward from the suspension frame; and securing a sprinkler drop of a fire sprinkler assembly with a clamp, the clamp attached to the mounting bracket.
CEILING FAÇADE SYSTEM
A ceiling faade system includes: a ceiling tile including an interior panel defining a first edge extending along a first side of the ceiling tile and a second edge extending along a second side of the ceiling tile opposite the first edge, a heating element, and an insulator layer arranged over the heating element opposite the interior panel; a first receiver extending along and configured to support the first side of the ceiling tile on a linear lighting track arranged on a ceiling structure and configured to locate the first edge of the interior panel adjacent and partially concealing the linear lighting track; and a second receiver extending along and configured to support the second side of the ceiling tile on a linear seam track arranged on the ceiling structure, the linear seam track laterally offset from the linear lighting track.
Sprinkler drop bracket for intersecting downlight
A sprinkler support assembly includes a ceiling system including a suspension frame and a grid support, the grid support extending laterally outward from the suspension frame; and a bracket assembly including a main body and at least one support arm, the main body attached to the grid support, the at least one support arm extending outward from the main body.
SAG-RESISTANT ACOUSTIC BOARD
Described herein is an acoustic building panel comprising a body comprising inorganic fiber in an amount ranging from about 60.0 wt. % to about 90.0 wt. % based on the total weight of the body; and microfibrillated fiber in an amount ranging from about 0.5 wt. % to about 10 wt. % based on the total weight of the body.
Supporting accessories for ceiling structures
A light fixture for mounting in a t-bar ceiling structure, the light fixture includes a housing configured to support a ring-shaped lens to at least partially surround an inner reflective surface, the inner reflective surface being configured to at least partially reflect light incident thereon from the lens, to present a mirage effect in a transition zone near the lens.
MONOLITHIC CEILING SYSTEM
Described herein is a method for forming a monolithic surface in a ceiling system, the method comprising overlapping a first facing sheet and a second facing sheet to create an overlap region, each of the first and second facing sheets having a first major surface opposite a second major surface and side surface extending between the first and second major surfaces, wherein the lower surface of the first facing sheet contacts the upper surface of the second facing sheet within the overlap region, and running a blade of a cutting tool along the overlap region such that the blade extends through the first and second facing sheets at a cutting angle that is oblique to the first major surface of the first facing sheet within the overlap region.
T-BAR LIGHTING ASSEMBLY
A lighting assembly is provided that includes a light fixture in combination with a support grid such as a drop ceiling t-bar. The light fixture can be configured to use a t-bar as the main form of support. The light fixture can be push-fit onto a t-bar or use a clip to join two or more portions of the light fixture to an installed t-bar. Once attached to the T-bar, the light fixture itself can provides support for a ceiling tile. Various embodiments are provided which achieve a variety of light distributions useful in typical illumination applications. Both recessed and suspended fixture types are achieved in various embodiments which are particularly well suited for LED lighting.
CEILING SYSTEMS
A ceiling system in one embodiment includes an overhead support grid comprised of a plurality of intersecting grid support members and a ceiling tile mountable to the grid. Retaining clips support the ceiling tile from the grid which may be concealed from view. The retaining clips each include a cavity that receives a grid support member and a pair of resilient mounting elements configured to lockingly engage a support member. The mounting elements are laterally movable in response to inserting the support member into the cavity of the retaining clip. In one embodiment, the movable elements include locking tabs which create a snap-fit interlock with the grid support member for securing the ceiling tile to the grid.
