The present invention relates in general to a suspended ceiling clip and method of using the clip to support a grid-work of channels in a key lock concealed grid suspended ceiling system. The suspended ceiling clip is used for mounting a furring channel to a top cross rail. The clip comprising a longitudinally extending base; a pair of flanges extending downwardly from the base and between which the base is located; a pair of hooks on each flange, each pair of hooks adapted to releasably connect to the furring channel; at least one projection in each flange, each projection engaging with a surface on the top cross rail to secure the clip within a longitudinal slot of the top cross rail; and wherein the air of flanges extend a preOdetermined distance from the base so as to space apart the top cross rail and the furring channel to provide a void therebetween.

Ceiling system

A ceiling system includes a grid support member, and first and second ceiling panels abutted at a joint. In the factory-supplied condition, each panel has a facing sheet already adhesively bonded to a central region of the panel. Perimeter portions of the facing are left un-bonded to an annular peripheral region of the surface surrounding the central region. This allows seams to be made in the field. The facing sheet comprises a cantilevered flap extending beyond a peripheral edge of the panel. During field installation, the flap of a first panel extends across the joint overlapping the second panel's un-bonded facing sheet in the peripheral region. The double thickness of facings is cut to form a seam laterally offset from the joint, which is concealed. A field applied or activated adhesive bonds the facing to the peripheral regions of each panel. A related installation method is disclosed.

A suspended ceiling system that is configured to provide coverage of a ceiling within a structure wherein the present invention includes a technique operable to employ a plurality of panels of alternate sizes and shapes to create a preferred design. The system includes a support grid wherein the support grid includes a multitude of support members arranged in a grid pattern. The support grid includes spaces configured to have mounted therein a plurality of first panels. The first panels are configured to have releasably secured thereto a plurality of second panels. The second panels are configured to be of a different size and shape than the first panels. The first panels include a plurality of mounting apertures that are operable to couple with securing members located on the upper surface of the second panels. The first panels further include at least one installation aperture formed therein.

Ceiling suspension bracket

A bracket (1) for holding a suspended ceiling has a first end (2) for anchoring the bracket (1) to a beam or the like of a building structure and a second end (3) to which a mounting profile is attachable on which a building panel is mountable. The bracket (1) has a rectangular and flat part (4) that in use is horizontally arranged between the first and second ends (2, 3). The length (L) of the flat part (4) between the first and second ends (2, 3) is at least 1.5 times as long as the width (W) of the flat part (4).
