Disclosed herein is a thermal and/or fire resistant panel comprising: a panel body comprising a fire resistant composition, wherein the fire resistant composition comprises: a silane cross-linked hybrid inorganic polymer; and a siloxane.

Disclosed is a suspended ceiling system, a securing member, and process of installing a patterned suspended ceiling system. The suspended ceiling system includes a grid system having first members and second members, and at least one substrate which extends below the grid system. The at least one substrate has an exposed surface and a concealed surface, and the at least one substrate has first sides and second sides which extend between the exposed surface and the concealed surface. Securing members attach to the concealed surface proximate the first sides, and the securing members have grid engagement members which secure the at least one substrate to the grid system. The securing members cooperate with the first members and the second members of the grid system to properly position the substrate and the spacing between adjacent at least one substrates is controlled.

The system includes a plurality of panels made of a thermoplastic material. The panels have a hermetically-sealed connection between them using a plurality of first thermoplastic welded junctions. The system further includes a plurality of elongated snap-in panel anchoring units. Each unit including complementary first and second members to be latched together through an interfering engagement. At least the first member of each snap-in panel anchoring unit is made of a thermoplastic material and these first members are attached to the outboard major surface of the panels using a plurality of second thermoplastic welded junctions.

A floor-ceiling assembly is provided for joined upper and lower modular construction units, including a floor surface of the upper unit using structural cement panels; a floor grid including at least one floor joist and at least one beam each having an upper surface receiving said structural cement panels, a web and a lower surface. At least one connector plate is secured to the lower surface. A ceiling framework of the lower unit has at least one ceiling beam and at least one ceiling joist secured to each other, at least one of the beams is secured to the at least one connector plate. A resilient channel is secured to an underside of the ceiling framework, and a ceiling panel is secured to the resilient channel.

In combination, extruded aluminum trim strips joined end-to-end and a splice plate, the trim strips together, the trim strip cross-sections including a web and a pair of opposed angles, the angles and web forming a track for receiving a mid-section of the splice plate with a close sliding fit, the splice plate having lever tabs at opposite ends, notches at sides of the plate, the plate being disposed in the tracks of both lengths of trim strips, the lever tabs and associated edges of the lever tabs formed by the notches being outside of the tracks, the associated edge being arranged in a locking manner with outer surfaces of the angles as a result of the lever tabs being bent in place towards the web.

The invention comprises a connector for a pair of opposed spaced concrete forming panels. The connector comprises an elongate spacer member having flanges formed thereon intermediate a central portion thereof and each opposite end thereof. A portion of at least one end of the spacer member is sized and shaped to selectively engage an elongate panel bracing member. A composite insulated concrete form and a method of using the insulated concrete form are also disclosed.

The present invention relates in general to a suspended ceiling clip and method of using the clip to support a grid-work of channels in a key lock concealed grid suspended ceiling system. The suspended ceiling clip is used for mounting a furring channel to a top cross rail. The clip comprising a longitudinally extending base; a pair of flanges extending downwardly from the base and between which the base is located; a pair of hooks on each flange, each pair of hooks adapted to releasably connect to the furring channel; at least one projection in each flange, each projection engaging with a surface on the top cross rail to secure the clip within a longitudinal slot of the top cross rail; and wherein the air of flanges extend a predetermined distance from the base so as to space apart the top cross rail and the furring channel to provide a void therebetween.

A floor-ceiling assembly is provided for joined upper and lower modular construction units, including a floor surface of the upper unit using structural cement panels; a floor grid including at least one floor joist and at least one beam each having an upper surface receiving said structural cement panels, a web and a lower surface. At least one connector plate is secured to the lower surface. A ceiling framework of the lower unit has at least one ceiling beam and at least one ceiling joist secured to each other, at least one of the beams is secured to the at least one connector plate. A resilient channel is secured to an underside of the ceiling framework, and a ceiling panel is secured to the resilient channel.

An arched island ceiling system comprising a pair of arcuate frame members, metal panels, and clips for supporting the panels on the frame members, the frame members having a generally rectangular cross-section, the clips having a saddle configuration including a seat and legs depending from opposite sides of the seat and being proportioned to straddle the frame member, lower ends of the legs having feet engageable with the underside of inwardly extending flanges of sides of the metal panels.
