Ceiling tile clip

A ceiling tile clip includes a top wall, a pair of parallel, spaced side walls that extend downwardly from opposite edges of the top wall and flanges at lower edges of the side walls that extend outwardly. The top wall includes a threaded opening in the center thereof. The ceiling tile clip is configured to be attached to an elongated ceiling grid member by a threaded member that threadedly engages the threaded opening. The elongated ceiling grid member has side surfaces and lower flange portions. When the ceiling tile clip is attached to the elongated ceiling grid member, the top wall of the ceiling tile clip is above the elongated ceiling grid member, the side walls of the ceiling tile clip are alongside the side surfaces of the elongated ceiling grid member and the flanges of the ceiling tile clip are above the flange portions.

Ceiling systems

A ceiling system in one embodiment includes an overhead support grid comprised of a plurality of intersecting grid support members and a ceiling tile mountable to the grid. Retaining clips support the ceiling tile from the grid which may be concealed from view. The retaining clips each include a cavity that receives a grid support member and a pair of resilient mounting elements configured to lockingly engage a support member. The mounting elements are laterally movable in response to inserting the support member into the cavity of the retaining clip. In one embodiment, the movable elements include locking tabs which create a snap-fit interlock with the grid support member for securing the ceiling tile to the grid.

SUSPENDED CEILING PANEL HOLDING CLIP

A hold down clip for retaining one or more ceiling panels on lower flanges of a suspended ceiling tee and allowing removal of the ceiling panels from below after installation. The hold down clip includes at least one outward curved section with a crest between an upper end and a lower end. The clip elastically deforms to produce reactive spring forces when a ceiling panel engages a contact point below the crest of the outward curved section. The clip also includes at least one continuously formed latching section, which may extend from the upper end, lower end, or a transition point below the crest of the outward curved section. The latching section engages the grid tee to generate the spring force. Alternatively, the clip includes a fastener secured to the at least one outward curved section. The fastener is configured for threaded attachment to a receptacle of the grid tee.

Linear surface covering system

The invention relates to a surface covering system, and, more specifically, to an improved linear surface covering system. The improvement includes each plank of the system having multi-directionally cut grooves. The improvement further includes clip projections which conform substantially to a notch formed by the multi-directional grooves. The system also includes an improved splice plate for stabilizing two adjacent planks positioned in end-to-end relation.
