Metal decking
In one implementation, a metal deck is provided that includes a plurality of deck components formed in a contiguous metal sheet. Each of the deck components includes a plurality of folded ribs formed along the length of the metal deck. Each of the plurality of folded ribs are configured such that one or more trusses of a building may fit between the plurality of folded ribs. The metal deck may be used to complete the structural diaphragm without using concrete.
Construction sheathing and methods of making and using same
A laminated building sheathing comprises a rigid foam board and a facer. The rigid foam board comprises a drainage pattern formed on a major surface of the foam board. The drainage pattern comprises a drainage channel. The facer is configured to cover the major surface of the rigid form board and to essentially conform to the drainage pattern. The facer is semi-permanently bonded to the drainage channel but permanently bonded to non-channel planar portions of the major surface.
THERMAL INSULATING ELEMENT
An insulating element for thermally insulating spaces, including closed cells, in which a first and a second group of closed cells are formed by first or second recesses in a first or second flat element and the first and the second flat elements form first or second connection regions between recesses adjacent to the edges of the openings, to which respectively a flat covering element closing the openings of a plurality of first recesses is bonded on a front side of the flat element. The second recesses are arranged between the first recesses on a rear side of the first flat element and the first recesses are arranged between the second recesses on a rear side of the second flat element such that the space remaining of the first and second recesses between the first and the second flat elements amounts to less than 50% of the space enclosed by the first and second recesses.
Multilayer composite having corrugated wooden elements
A core layer is provided which is suitable for a multilayer composite that includes at least one cover layer and the core layer. The cover layer is arranged so as to at least partially cover the core layer and be fixedly connected thereto. The multilayer composite includes the core layer, the core layer having layers which have corrugated wooden elements. The corrugated wooden elements are arranged in an oriented manner in at least one layer.
STRUCTURAL OSB PANELS WITH INTEGRATED RAINSCREEN
A plurality of rainscreen elements or features that are applied to the front or outer face of a structural panel or the weather resistant barrier layer on the structural panel. When an exterior cladding or sheathing product is installed over the structural panel, the rainscreen elements or features provide built-in water flow gaps or channels to facilitate and increase water drainage off the face of the structural panel, thereby minimizing water storage in the space between the structural panel and the outer cladding/sheathing. The rainscreen features are incorporated into the structural panel in-line or during the manufacturing process, and do not require any further work during assembly or construction on-site.
BEADED PANELS AND METHOD OF FORMING BEADED PANELS
Beaded panels and method of forming beaded panels. A beaded panel as described herein includes a base structure comprising a sheet of material, and beads that comprise a protrusion on a first side of the base structure, and a concavity on an opposing second side of the base structure. A geometry of the beads comprises a center section having a conic shape about a longitudinal axis, flared sections symmetric about the center section along the longitudinal axis, and a transition section that curves outward from a base of the center section and the flared sections to blend with a flat surface on the first side of the base structure.
Structural Element
A structural element (10) for forming a panel, with an upper plane (12) and lower plane (14) which are parallel and deformed along their plane at intervals by pods (16) which extrude toward the opposing plane with their internal faces mating to of another.
VENTILATED AND DRAINING FOAM INSULATION PANEL FOR BUILDING CONSTRUCTION
A method for facilitating ventilation and/or drainage in a building wall, floor, and/or roof by the step of: placing a foam insulation board with an interior board face and an exterior board face, at least one board face having ventilation and/or drainage grooves and/or protrusions into the building wall, floor, and/or roof; providing vents in the building wall, floor, and/or roof adjacent end portions of the insulation board, whereby ventilation is facilitated within the wall, floor, and/or roof of the building by air moving through the vents, along the grooves and/or protrusions of the foam insulation board, and out of the vents, drainage of water is facilitated within the wall or the roof of the building by a pathway created by the grooves and/or protrusions, and moisture removal is facilitated by the passage of air during ventilation.
