JOINT EDGE ASSEMBLY AND FORMWORK FOR FORMING A JOINT, AND METHOD FOR FORMING A JOINT
Various embodiments of the present disclosure provides a joint edge assembly and a reusable multiple position height adjuster and method of positioning and installing joint edge assembly and the reusable multiple position height adjuster for forming two adjacent concrete slabs and a joint between such adjacent concrete slabs.
METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR CONSTRUCTING A CONCRETE STRUCTURE
Various implementations include methods and apparatuses for constructing a concrete structure. In one implementation, a structure includes a pre-cast concrete column section and a pre-cast concrete beam section. The column section includes an embedded first assembly with a threaded rod, and the beam section includes an embedded second assembly defining a channel for receiving the threaded rod. Grout is fed through a joint between the column and beam sections into the second assembly to couple the threaded rod with the second assembly. The grout is urged through the joint and the second assembly by gravity and by applying vacuum suction to a grout port defined by the second assembly. The grout port extends between the channel of the second assembly and an external face of the beam section.
REINFORCED CONCRETE COUPLING BEAM CONFINED BY DISCONTINUOUS STEEL PLATES
A new type of reinforced concrete coupling beam confined by discontinuous steel plates is proposed. The proposed coupling beam confined includes longitudinal reinforcements, transverse reinforcements, concrete, and first and second web side steel plates. Longitudinal reinforcements are placed along the first direction. Transverse reinforcements are placed perpendicular to the first direction and to enclose the longitudinal reinforcements. Longitudinal reinforcements and transverse reinforcements are embedded in the concrete to form a reinforced concrete coupling beam. The reinforced concrete coupling beam has first and second surfaces opposite to each other on web sides, and third and fourth surfaces opposite to each other on flange sides. The first web side steel plate is placed on the first surface of the reinforced concrete coupling beam. The second web side steel plate is placed on the second surface of the reinforced concrete coupling beam.
ANCHOR FOR CONNECTING TO A ROD
An anchor includes a body having a first end and a second end; the body having a side wall between the first end and the second end; the body including an axial hole extending from the first end into the body, the axial hole for receiving an end portion of a rod; and the body including a first longitudinal cutout extending into the side wall to create a first opening into a first portion of the axial hole to expose an end portion of the rod to be inserted in the axial hole to be welded to the body.
Constructing buildings with modular wall structure
A method of construction of composite wall module system in which a first wall module and a second wall module are coupled to the first wall module by a vertical joint. The vertical joint is comprised of plurality of anchors and reinforcement bars as well as steel side plates allowing composite wall steel faceplates to be discontinuous across the vertical joint. The faceplates of the first and second modules are not made continuous across the vertical joint through continuous welding. The vertical wall joint further includes fill disposed between faceplates and side plates adjacent to anchors and reinforcement bars.
Concrete dowel slip tube assembly
A concrete dowel slip tube assembly is provided for use in maintaining a planner consistency of a cured concrete slab formed on a support surface. The assembly comprises a plurality of elongate slip tubes, each having a length dimension and a tubular hollow interior compartment. Dowels are slidingly engageable to the hollow interior compartment to allow for translation along the interior compartment. A support frame defines a plurality of integral slip tube retaining members, disposed at evenly spaced locations along the support frame, the retaining members being configured to receive and engage associated slip tubes to the support frame in a common defined orientation. The support frame and the retaining members are formed as a unitary construction.
Reinforcing assemblies having downwardly-extending working members on structurally reinforcing bars for concrete slabs or other structures
In one aspect, a reinforcing assembly includes one or more longitudinally-extending bars having a first end a second end opposite the first end. The reinforcing assembly also includes multiple downwardly-extending working members each independently connected at a top of the working member to at least one of the one or more bars. The working members are oriented diagonally with respect to a longitudinal axis extending along the one or more bars.
MODULE FOR A STRUCTURE
A construction module for a structure, comprising: a formwork member that includes a base, a pair of parallel side walls that extend upwardly from the base, and a pair of parallel end walls. The base, the side walls and the end walls define a cavity for reinforcement and concrete. A reinforcement member includes an upper portion and a lower portion. When the reinforcement member is located in the cavity and concrete fills the cavity, the lower portion of the reinforcement member and the concrete define an elongate beam.
THERMAL INSULATION STRUCTURE HAVING SHEAR REBARS AND TENSION BARS INTEGRALLY FORMED IN THERMAL INSULATION UNIT
A thermal insulation structure comprises a thermal insulation unit provided between a floor slab and a balcony slab. Tension rebars are formed in parallel in the floor slab and the balcony slab, but are not in the thermal insulation unit. Connection tension rebars which are parallel with each other pass through the thermal insulation unit and connect the tension rebars in the floor slab and the balcony slab. Shear rebars are formed inside the thermal insulation unit to connect and support the connection tension rebars. Auxiliary shear rebars horizontally connect the shear rebars to reinforce support.
Reinforcing assemblies having downwardly-extending working members on structurally reinforcing bars for concrete slabs or other structures
A reinforcing assembly includes one or more longitudinally-extending bars having a first end and a second end opposite the first end, multiple first working members, and multiple second working members. Each working member is independently connected to at least one of the one or more bars and extends away from the one or more bars. The first working members are oriented diagonally with respect to a longitudinal axis extending along the one or more bars and are connected along a first continuous portion of the one or more bars. The second working members are oriented diagonally with respect to the longitudinal axis and are connected along a second continuous portion of the one or more bars. The first working members extend from the one or more bars away from the second working members. The second working members extend from the one or more bars away from the first working members.
