CONNECTOR FOR USE IN INTER-PANEL CONNECTION BETWEEN SHEAR WALL ELEMENTS
An apparatus to connect two mass timber (CLT, LVL, or other configurations) shear wall panels, comprising a high load deformation capacity steel connector, wherein the connector comprises a high stiffness that shifts to a low stiffness during a high intensity earthquake or significant wind loading event.
Methods and apparatuses for constructing a concrete structure
Various implementations comprise methods and apparatuses for constructing a concrete structure. An apparatus according to one implementation includes a structure comprising a pre-cast concrete component that includes at least one post-tensioning duct, a post-tensioning tendon extending through the post-tensioning duct, and a poured in place concrete surface disposed above and coupled to the pre-cast concrete component.
Concrete anchor bodies and plugs
An anchor for being embedded in concrete for attachment to a fastener to support a load comprises a plug having a main body portion extending upwardly from a base portion, the plug for being attached to a form board prior to pouring of concrete, the plug having an end portion disposed a distance from the form board; and an anchor body attached to the end portion. The plug is separable from the anchor body and removable from the concrete after the concrete is cured, leaving the anchor body embedded in the concrete, the plug providing a void in the concrete after removal to provide an access opening for a threaded portion of a fastener to attach to the anchor body.
Modular assemblies and methods of construction thereof
A modular assembly for forming a shear wall includes a modular frame having a first side, and formwork. The formwork has a reinforcing bar cage and a first wall each coupled to the first side of the modular frame. The first wall is disposed between the reinforcing bar cage and the first side of the modular frame.
Method for Producing a Textile Transverse Force Reinforcement, Supporting Device, Transverse Force Reinforcement, Concrete Component, and Yarn Placement File
The invention relates to a method and a supporting device (1) for producing a textile transverse force reinforcement, formed from at least one yarn (17) comprising fibers suitable for load transfer. According to the invention, it is provided that the transverse force reinforcement (5) or the supporting device (1) can be produced or curved in at least one plane perpendicular to the cross section of the transverse force reinforcement (5), wherein placement of the yarn (17) for forming the transverse force reinforcement (5) takes place on the supporting device (1). The supporting device (1) comprises hinged support elements (2) connected to each other in a degree of freedom. The invention further relates to a transverse force reinforcement and its use to reinforce and simultaneously connect two shells of a concrete sandwich structure. The invention also relates to a concrete structural component and a yarn placement file.
Adjustable dap assembly
A vertically adjustable steel reinforcing assembly, especially adapted for effective use with dapped beam ends. The reinforcing assembly includes an upper assembly and a lower assembly. Running vertically through the center of each of the assemblies are aligning pin holes. Assembly is configured at the time of casting to accommodate most recent dap design.
TIE SHEAR CONNECTOR FOR WALL PANEL CONSTRUCTION AND METHOD THEREOF
A tie shear connector for use with insulating composite panel structures having a first structure layer and second structure layer, comprising an elongated body having an interior cavity passage formed therethrough from at least one end, and at least one aperture configured to enable the flow of a fluidic hardenable material into a portion of the interior cavity passage. The tie shear connector can also comprise at least on placement pin to aid in depth penetration of the tie shear connector.
Composite deck fastener
A direct fastening fastener particularly suited for use in normal weight or lightweight composite deck system. The fastener is heat treated to a dual-hardness level so that a portion of the fastener is capable of driving into the support member, such as a joist and a decking member. The remaining portion of the fastener remains relatively ductile so that it can withstand and transfer shear loads imposed by shifting of the concrete slab, which overlies the composite decking, to the support member. The fastener can be a single or multiple piece fastener which includes specially formed annular flanges that enhance interlocking between the fastener, the concrete slab and support members.
SYSTEM FOR INSULATED CONCRETE COMPOSITE WALL PANELS
A shear connector for use with insulated concrete panels. The shear connector comprises an elongated core member that includes a first end and a second end, and a flanged end-piece removably secured to one of the first end or the second end of the core member. At least a portion of the flanged end-piece includes a maximum diameter that is larger than a maximum diameter of the core member. The shear connector is configured to transfer shear forces.
