20190226927 · 2019-07-25 ·

An improved method and apparatus for evaluating post-tensioning tendons, where the apparatus uses a positioning head placed directly into the pocket and against the anchor without making contact with the wedges as the apparatus seats on the tendon. From this position the apparatus evaluates the tendon by marking, measuring the tendon, and/or determining its location with increased reliability and precision.

20240175266 · 2024-05-30 · ·

A connecting assembly for connecting two components in construction, having a first component with an anchor element, which has a connecting portion and a second component with at least one housing part, which has a conical or wedge-shaped inner surface, fixed therein or thereon. A clamping part having a conical or wedge-shaped outer surface is in the housing part, which clamping part, when connected to the anchor element, clamps the connecting portion of the anchor element so that, when a tensile force acts on the connecting portion, the outer surface of the clamping part is pulled against the inner surface of the housing part such that the clamping force acting on the connecting portion increases. When not connected to the anchor element, the clamping part has a range of motion with respect to the inner surface of the housing part; however, the housing part is spatially delimited in all directions.

CABLE ANCHORAGE WITH SEAL ELEMENT, PRESTRESSING SYSTEM COMPRISING SUCH ANCHORAGE AND METHOD FOR INSTALLING AND TENSIONING A SHEATHED ELONGATED ELEMENT
20190194884 · 2019-06-27 ·

The present invention concerns a cable anchorage comprising at least one axial channel for accommodating an elongated element with a sheathed portion and an unsheathed end portion, wherein the channel between a first channel end, proximal to a running part of the elongated element, and a second channel end equipped with immobilising device, a seal element in the channel, a stop element having an end facing said seal element which defines a shoulder, so that an axial displacement of the of the elongated element with respect to the stop element in said channel is possible up to the abutment of the end of the sheathed portion against the shoulder, creating thereby an abutment position of the elongated element in said channel.

CORROSION-PROTECTED TENSION MEMBER AND PLASTICALLY DEFORMABLE DISC OF CORROSION PROTECTION MATERIAL FOR SUCH A TENSION MEMBER
20190194946 · 2019-06-27 ·

A corrosion-protected tension member (10) comprises a plurality of tension elements (14) and an anchor device (44) with an anchor element (16) which is designed to transmit tension forces from the tension elements (14) to a superior structure (12), at least one elastically compressible sealing disc (28), and a supporting device (26) which is arranged on that side of the at least one sealing disc (28) which faces away from the anchor element (16). According to the invention, when the tension member (10) is in a state in which it is preassembled but not yet placed under tensile stress, at least one plastically deformable disc (30) of corrosion protection material is arranged between the anchor element (16) and the at least one sealing disc (28).

Anchorage device

An anchoring device configured for anchoring tendons for structural reinforcing a structure. The anchoring device includes fastening means configured for fastening the anchoring device to the structure, and a tendon pressure contact surface configured for being pressed against a surface of the tendon to be anchored. The tendon defines a reference plane, and anchoring device defines first and second distal end spaced apart from each other in a longitudinal direction. The anchoring device further includes a proximal portion located between the first and second distal ends. The anchoring device defines a core plane extending parallel to the reference plane. The tendon pressure contact surface extends in the longitudinal direction of the anchoring device from the first distal end to the proximal portion. The tendon pressure contact surface converges in the longitudinal direction of the anchoring device from the proximal portion towards the first distal end in the direction towards the core plane, such that the distance between the tendon pressure contact surface and the core plane varies along the longitudinal direction of the anchoring device. The distance increases from the first distal end towards the proximal portion of the anchoring device.

The continuous fiber reinforcing material tension apparatus includes a pressing body that presses a sleeve to a side of a fixed structure and contains a hollow portion, in which a wedge body is allowed to reciprocate along a continuous fiber reinforcing material, a cylindrical bracket located in an opposite side of the sleeve from the pressing body and having an inner wall surface on which a projection is formed, a columnar rotary jig that is allowed to reciprocate inside the bracket, that engages with an end face of the wedge body, that has a spiral key groove that engages with a key, and that applies rotative force around an axis of the continuous fiber reinforcing material, and a piston that presses an end face of the rotary jig to a side of the fixed structure.

Advanced Stranded Cable Termination Methods and Design
20240209918 · 2024-06-27 ·

A compact overall termination for a multi-stranded synthetic filament cable that provides for the inspection of the individual components. Multiple individual cable strands are provided with a strand termination on their free end. These strand terminations are connected to a collector to form an overall cable termination. An advanced collar is provided that reroutes the strands as they leave the collector and controls the transition to the structure found in the free portion of the cable. The advanced collar often shortens the length required for the transition from the collector to the free portion of the cable.
