A system for use with a post-tensioning concrete anchor may comprise a connector anchor including a bore therethrough, the bore including a first frustoconical portion, the connector anchor adapted to bear on the post-tensioning concrete anchor, and a coupler. The coupler may comprise a coupler body including a bore therethrough, the bore including a second frustoconical portion that is oriented oppositely to the first frustoconical portion, and a connector having a bore therethrough and configured to receive the coupler body therein, the connector adapted to mechanically engage the connector anchor such that a tensioning force can be transmitted from the coupler body to the connector anchor via the connector. A method of using the system may allow a second concrete section to be poured adjacent to a first concrete section before the first concrete section has been stressed.

Prestressing cable, in particular for static structures
10731727 · 2020-08-04 · ·

A prestressing cable, in particular for static structures, that includes a longitudinal element and connection elements at the end faces of the longitudinal element. The longitudinal element has stranded wires, the end faces of which are anchored into the connection elements. The prestressing cable includes approximately parallel strands, each of which has stranded wires. The wires are spread apart at their end faces in the funnel-shaped opening of the respective connection element and anchored by a casting process, wherein the frustum-shaped funnel widens away from the strands.

This patent refers to improvements introduced in the encapsulation technique regarding the field of tendons with anchor plates and anchor tensors, applied in the construction system of prestressed concrete in its assembly, demoulding, tensioning and final finishing with obtaining anticorrosion protection of metal parts through a set of improved components applied to the current processes and an innovative process that will ensure the seal against entry of concrete cream into the greased system during the assembly of the system, in forms prior to concreting, which will also ensure their perpendicularity to the shape and bringing advantages that will increase the speed of installation, speed of calculation response, speed in the installation of hydraulic jacks for tensioning the pull rods, ease application and perfect fittings in the tools, improvement of the finishing process ensuring thus effective protection for durability, reuse of components, increased safety at work and elimination of all improper process that occurs in the preparation and fixing of the anchor plate and subsequent closing and finishing.

INSTALLATION OF POST-TENSIONING ANCHORS AT ANCHORAGE ZONE WITHOUT REINFORCEMENT IN ANCHORAGE ZONE

A post-tensioning anchor is configured for use in a structural element formed by surrounding the post-tensioning anchor with concrete, wherein a portion of the structural element surrounding the post-tensioning anchor comprises a concrete block. A post-tensioning anchorage zone, defined by the concrete block and the post-tensioning anchor, is configured to withstand an applied compression and an applied tension from a predetermined post-tensioning force without regard to reinforcement in the concrete block at the anchorage zone, such that the anchorage zone is configured to transfer the predetermined post-tensioning force to a remainder of the structural element without regard to reinforcement in the concrete block at the anchorage zone.
