PRECAST THERMALLY SEPARATED CANTILEVERED BALCONY SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USING SAME
20180112388 · 2018-04-26 ·

A precast thermally separated cantilevered balcony system includes a concrete slab, a thermal separation component and a plurality of reinforcing bars. The concrete slab has an inside edge and a plurality of reinforcing bars extending therethrough generally orthogonal to the inside edge. The thermal separation component is an elongate member extending along the inside edge of the concrete slab. The plurality of reinforcing bars extend through the thermal separation component and extend inwardly from the thermal separation component. A method of constructing a building having at least one precast thermally separated cantilevered balcony system is discussed.

SPLICING DEVICE
20240376713 · 2024-11-14 ·

A splice device including a body, a first opening, a second opening, an inlet, an outlet, and a cavity. The first opening at a first end and including a first bore for fixedly attaching a first rebar of a first concrete slab to the body. The second opening at a second end and including a second bore for receiving a second rebar of a second concrete slab therethrough. The inlet being at a second longitudinal axis and the outlet being at a third longitudinal axis. The cavity is in the body and in fluid communication with the first opening, second opening, inlet, and outlet. The splice device fixedly couples the first rebar to the second rebar by filling the cavity with a fill material, which when cured to a hardened state, the fill material fixedly attaches the second rebar to the splice device at the cavity.

Connection System for Concrete Sections

A column shoe assembly can include a shoe body including an access opening and a lower rebar opening that defines a connection axis to receive a threaded rebar end. A lower protrusion or a vertical member can extend from shoe body to secure a rebar tie assembly to the shoe body.

DUCTILE CHORD CONNECTORS FOR USE IN CONCRETE RODS IN STRUCTURES
20180094437 · 2018-04-05 ·

Provided herein are connectors for use in assembling reinforced concrete structures, as well as methods of assembly using the connectors. In one embodiment, the connectors and methods provide for secure and easy connection to the butt end of any rebar rod, as well as attachment of an opposite end to another metal structure. For example, a butt portion of a connector slides over the butt portion of a rebar rod, and can include one or more sidewall openings to allow welding onto rebar that is enclosed within the butt portion of the connector. The opposite second end can include a faceplate for attaching a weld plate, thus permitting a series of connections using connectors and weld plates, among other things. The connectors provide selected properties that differ from the rebar, welds, and weld plates, such as stretch, yield strength, ultimate strength, and transfer of stress and vibration, among other things.

Insulated concrete ledge form reinforcement member
09903120 · 2018-02-27 ·

A reinforcement member is used with an insulated concrete ledge form including a straight inner form wall, a sloped outer form wall defining a longitudinal slot for receiving an elongate rebar member parallel to the inner form wall, and a plurality of form ties connected between the inner and outer form walls across a main concrete receiving cavity, in which each form tie defines at least one rebar chair for connection to a rebar member. The reinforcement member has i) a bridge portion to extend laterlly from an inner end to an outer end, ii) a hook portion depending from the outer end of the bridge portion so as to extend over and hook onto the elongate rebar member; and iii) a seat portion depending from the inner end of the bridge portion for mating connection with a respective rebar chair of a respective one of the form ties.

Rebar Construction And Transportation System

A rebar construction and transportation system includes a plurality of rebar members. A jig is provided. Each of the rebar members is positioned in the jig to retain each of the rebar members in a selected pattern. A plurality of first couplers is each removably coupled to an associated one of the rebar members. Each of the first couplers may be selectively coupled to a crane to transport the rebar members. A plurality of second couplers is provided. Each of the second couplers is selectively positioned in an open position and a closed position. Each of the second couplers is positioned around an associated one of the rebar members when the second couplers are positioned in the closed position. Each of the second couplers engages the jig such the jig is retained at the selected point on the rebar members.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SETTING CONCRETE REINFORCEMENT

Tool Free Rebar Tie
20170211276 · 2017-07-27 ·

Tool Free Rebar TieA metal wire tie consisting of a piece of 16 gauge wire between 8 and 12 inches long with a loop on each end and each loop closed with a twist. The inventive device is used to fasten rebar on construction sites prior to a concrete pour. The user grips the wire, placing gloved fingers through the loops, and wraps the wire around the joint where two rebar sections come together. The tie is used in place of a mechanical system and requires no tools or other devices to fasten the metal rods which reinforce concrete. Application of the tie is 2-3 times faster than the method currently in use providing substantial savings in man power and time for virtually any construction job where reinforced concrete is required.
