SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR POST-TENSIONING IN CONCRETE SUPPORT SYSTEMS

A system, method, and apparatus for post-tensioning in masonry-based system, especially concrete support systems. In one embodiment, a system is presented that can include an anchor, pocket-former, and bolt, wherein the pocket-former can be configured to engage each of the anchor and bolt to facilitate securing of the system to a form. In another embodiment, a method of post-tensioning is presented, wherein a tendon can be suspended at the live end via connections facilitated by a pocket-former. In another embodiment, a system and method of post-tensioning is presented that prevents a pocket and anchor from being contaminated with debris that could ultimately compromise the integrity of the tensioned material.

Structural connector for fastening structural components in insulated concrete formwork

The present invention relates to a device and a method associated with the device. With respect to the device, it is a structural connector for fastening structural components in insulated concrete formwork (ICF). The structural connector consists of a double threaded cylinder bolt assembly that aligns through openings in the ICF wall. One end of the cylinder bolt assembly embeds into the cavity of the ICF wall where openings in the cylinder bolt assembly receive concrete and reinforcement bars. The other end of the cylinder bolt assembly is threaded to receive a double threaded washer head bolt. The cylinder bolt assembly is used to mount ledger boards, floor joist hangers and roof truss connectors to the ICF wall, locking them together acting as one unit in withstanding bending and uplift loads imposed by large forces such as floor and roof truss systems.

Enhanced non-coplanar double winding reinforcement method, structure built by the same, and crosstie for the same
11359375 · 2022-06-14 · ·

An enhanced non-coplanar double winding reinforcement method has a main reinforcing bars erecting step, a reinforcement stirrup winding step, and a crossties double hooking and confining step. The main reinforcing bars and the reinforcement stirrup can be stably confined by the crossties. No iron wire is needed for bundling. Toughness and aseismatic capability of a structure built by the enhanced non-coplanar double winding reinforcement method is improved. Accordingly, construction steps are simplified and construction efficiency are increased. A first plane defined by a main rod portion and a first hook portion of the crosstie and a second plane defined by the main rod portion and a second hook portion of the crosstie intersect, the second hook portion can pass between two of the main reinforcing bars that are disposed next to each other even when the main reinforcing bars are densely arranged.

Self-Locking Rebar Coupler
20230265655 · 2023-08-24 ·

The present invention relates to a novel form of self-locking mechanical rebar coupler which is able to easily couple neighboring rebars by way of an inserting plug welded to one side of the rebar, which penetrates a receiving socket which is welded to another piece of rebar. It is then locked into place by a spring-loaded dowel which penetrates the inserting plug when the inserting plug pushes down a cap at the bottom of the receiving socket which had been holding the spring-loaded dowel in place. The purpose of this coupler is to transfer a load against tensile force and compression force in a stable manner by coupling two separate pieces of rebar and locking them into place. Various diameters of rebar can be used in this self-locking mechanical rebar coupler. The assembly by providing a self-locking rebar coupling, is aimed to reduce the size of rebar components which can be combined together on a construction site and improve construction speed.
