Roof mounting system

In various embodiments, a tile system for mounting structures to a roof may comprise a base assembly, a fastener, a seal, a flashing, and a mounting bracket. The fastener may be installable on the base assembly. The seal may be installable on the fastener. The flashing may be configured to replace a roof tile. Moreover, a protrusion may be field formed in the flashing during installation of the tile system by driving the fastener through the flashing in response to the base assembly being positioned on the roof surface. The bracket may be installable on the fastener and configured to compress the flashing against the seal and the base assembly.

Roof tile and a roof covering

A roof tile comprising a ceramic body and a reinforcing element attached to a lower surface of the ceramic body.

A ROOFING, CLADDING OR SIDING MODULE OR APPARATUS

A roofing, cladding or siding module is described. The module comprises an underlapping region adapted to be substantially covered by an exposed region of an adjacent overlapping module when installed on a building surface. A plurality of projections are formed on an underside of the underlapping region. The projections are feet to support the module on the building surface to provide a gap between the module and the building surface, and/or provide a profile on the underside of the underlapping region to define a pathway for air flow between the module and the building surface. Each projection is formed by a downwardly projecting portion of the underlapping region with a corresponding cavity in an upper side of the underlapping region, and the cavity is shaped to prevent or minimize water pooling in the cavity.

Metal Roof Shingle System and Method of Installation

A lightweight interlocking metal roof system for installation onto a steep or inclined structure roof either directly over the roof decking material or over an existing shingle roofing system, with the metal roofing system installed from the roof ridgeline down to the drip edge of the roof gutter. Cooperating outwardly extending flanges and receiving pockets for capturing and interlocking the metal panels of the roofing system create an interlock between and among panel members with overlying edge ends configured to be resistant to lift up due to winds either across the roof or along the roof edges.

There is provided a cladding member (13) formed of a supporting body portion (67) having mounts (54) and a head portion (12), and an absorber surface portion (70) having a peripheral boundary wall (71) defining a recess into which a solar cell array (removed in this view for clarity) is bonded. The supporting (67) and absorber surface (70) body portions are pressure moulded from polyvinyl ester/glassfibre (30%)/fire retardant (40%)/pigment sheet moulding compound. Complementary bonding portions (72) form a glue line in assembly and have complementary water passages (73) defined therebetween. The bonding portions (72) contrive a generally sinusoidal glue space (74) that is longer that the transverse sectional dimension of the boding portions (72), cooperating with the adhesive system to resist water pressure in the passages (73).

A flat photovoltaic tile includes a shell made from plastic material and a photovoltaic element in a recess. The tile has front and rear faces, upstream and downstream edges, two right and left lateral edges. Overlapping portions ensure at least water-tightness against liquid water. The tile includes an electrical connection, the rear face including, towards the upstream edge, a tenon intended to hold the tile on a retaining device, in particular a batten. At the photovoltaic element, the tile includes, in its thickness, from the rear face towards the front face: a part of the shell a rear panel, a lower EVA film, a silicon photovoltaic conversion plate, an upper EVA film, and a tempered glass transparent layer, and, elsewhere, the tile includes, in its thickness, the plastic material of the shell.

Metal roofing shingles with side lap and headlap alignment and sealing features

A roofing system has metal shingles that have formed side lap features that are configured to facilitate alignment of adjacent side lapped metal shingles of a shingle installation along a roofing structure and that couple the metal shingles together and form seals along their side lapped peripheral edges. The metal shingles also can have alignment features that cooperate to align shingles in one course with shingles in a next lower course within their headlap regions.
