ROOF ATTACHMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A roof attachment system and methods of using same during the installation, maintenance, or repair of a roof on a commercial or residential building structure. The roof attachment system and the related methods of using and implementing the system include, among other things, an anchor or internal support assembly, and a hook or securement assembly. The roof attachment system enables the installer to utilize at least one internal support assembly, or at least one internal support assembly and the securement assembly to install the roof, depending upon the installation stage of the roof. Upon completion of the installation process, the roof includes multiple concealed internal support assemblies that provide multiple anchor points that are spaced an appreciable distance apart along the ridgeline of the roof. When the roof requires maintenance or repair, the securement assembly can be removably coupled to a specific internal support assembly to facilitate the maintenance or repair by a technician while also reducing the chances that the technician experiences a fall from the roof.
METHOD, DEVICE, AND SYSTEM OF MOLD, MOSS, AND ALGAE MITIGATION FOR ASPHALT ROOFING
A microbial inhibiting system for angled asphalt roofs. The system includes copper-based strips along the ridge of the roof, wherein the proximal edges of the copper-based strips are operatively associated between a ridge vent and a portion of the upper roof. A distal end of the copper-based strips may provide windshear bends to keep the whole system in place during high winds. Once installed onto an asphalt roof, the present invention is adapted so that rainwater is directed over the copper-base members of the system, causing a chemical reaction therewith, wherein the resulting chemical will wash away along the roofing membrane, removing any mold, algae, and moss as the chemically infused rainwater rolls down the roof.
Method And Apparatus For Creating A Scored Hinge In A Hip Or Ridge Cap Shingle
A cap shingle configured to be installed over a hip or ridge of a roof structure, and a method for creating scored hinge lines in hip and ridge cap shingles during manufacturing while minimizing the likelihood of breakage along the scored hinge lines due to lane tension are disclosed. The method includes forming score lines with a scoring cylinder across lanes of shingle material just before the lanes are cut into individual cap shingles with a pattern cutter. The scoring cylinder and pattern cutter are controlled so that the score lines are consistently applied along the centerlines of the cap shingles.
Method and apparatus for protecting structures against fires in high wind conditions
Certain aspects relate to an apparatus for fire protection to a peak of a roof of a structure including a fire-retardant conduit mounted to the peak of the roof. The fire-retardant conduit includes a channel having sidewalls, each sidewall including a top portion having a lip; a channel windbreak configured to cover the channel and the lip of the channel; and a fire-retardant source pipe coupling the fire-retardant conduit to a fire-retardant source to supply fire-retardant into the channel.
ROOF RIDGE OR HIP COVERING ELEMENT AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A ROOF RIDGE OR HIP COVERING ELEMENT
A roof ridge or hip covering element comprising a first flat body, a second flat body, and a flexible sheet for joining together the first and second flat body.
Sealing gasket for use between flashing members, a flashing arrangement for a roof window including at least two flashing members and at least one sealing gasket, and method of sealing a gap between flashing members for a roof window
A sealing gasket (4) for use between flashing members (31,32) is disclosed. It comprises a compressible sealing section and an attachment section comprising at least two legs configured for engagement with a flashing member, both sections extending over substantially the entire length of the sealing gasket. The at least two legs of the attachment section project from a base section of the attachment section so that a first recess and a second recess extending in parallel are defined, said first and second recesses being configured for engagement with a flange, ridge, or leg on a flashing member. The invention further relates to a flashing arrangement and to a method of sealing a gap between flashing members for a roof window.

Roof ridge or hip covering element and method for manufacturing a roof ridge or hip covering element
Disclosed herein is a roof ridge or hip covering element comprising a first and a second flat body and comprising a flexible sheet for joining together the first and second flat body.
Roofing system with modular tiles
A roofing system for forming a roof includes a plurality of tiles. Each tile has a frame at a perimeter of the tile, and the frame includes an upstream element, an opposed downstream element, and opposed first and second side elements, thereby bounding a central panel area. Each tile further includes a side trim, a batten, and a ridge cap. When the tiles, side trim, batten, and ridge cap are arranged to form a roof, the batten is secured at a lower edge of the roof and directed upward to receive the downstream elements of the tiles, the side trim is secured at a side edge of the roof and directed laterally to receive one of the first and second side elements of the tiles, and the ridge cap is secured at a ridge of the roof and directed downward to lap over the upstream elements of the tiles.
