The shingle coating asphalt coating composition is used to make a shingle. The shingle includes a substrate, the asphalt, and roofing granules.

The first and second sidewalls may have a tapered sidewall height that provides a gap between the body of the roofing panel and underlying material. The roofing panel may be installed over a biocidal source on a roof, concealing the biocidal source from view while still allowing liquid (e.g., water) to flow over the biocidal source.

In embodiments, the roofing panels include a body having as top side, a bottom side parallel with the top side, a front edge, a rear edge, and a left edge. The roofing panels may further include a first sidewall, a second sidewall, and one or more standoffs. The sealant material sites of the second series (62) are provided along a second axis (68) which is essentially parallel to the length dimension of the web and spaced apart from the first axis (66) with respect to the width dimension. The sealant material sites (62) of the second series are discontinuous along the second axis (68) and are separated from one another along the second axis (68) by a second interval (72), the second interval (72) being different than the first interval (70).
