The invention relates to a fastening structure for being able to fit a coupling profile, in particular for fastening solar panels, to a pitched roof covered with bituminous shingles. The invention also relates to an assembly which includes a fastening structure according to the invention. The invention further relates to a kit of components which includes a fastening structure according to the invention. The invention further relates to a method for fitting a coupling profile, in particular for fastening solar panels, to a pitched roof covered with bituminous shingles, by using a fastening structure according to the invention.
Roof panel system and hanger method for installation
The invention is a roof system having panels attached by battens and adjustable hangers. The hangers have a leg, a tail and a hook. The hanger is supported by a batten strip material, typically made of metal with slots. These hangers are permanently secured within the battens and are non removable once the batten is fastened to a roof deck. The hangers themselves are adjustable to different lengths by sliding them within the slot with a predetermined amount of force to accommodate staggered panel edges. This dramatically reduces the labor and costs required to install roofing panels.
Roofing system and method of installation
A roofing system includes a plurality of riser blocks disposed on a support surface. The riser blocks include a group that is aligned in a row. A batten extends along the row and is supported by the group of riser blocks. The batten includes a first clip portion. A group of roofing panels is disposed along the row and is supported by the batten. Further, each of the roofing panels of the group includes a front surface, a rear surface, and a second clip portion extending from the rear surface. The second clip portion is configured to engage the first clip portion of the batten so as to secure the roofing panels to the batten.
ROOFING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF INSTALLATION
The present disclosure relates generally to roofing systems, for example, suitable for covering the roof of a house or other building. The present disclosure relates more particularly to a roofing system that includes a plurality of riser blocks disposed on a support surface. The riser blocks include a group that is aligned in a row. A batten extends along the row and is supported by the group of riser blocks. The batten includes a first clip portion. A group of roofing panels is disposed along the row and is supported by the batten. Further, each of the roofing panels of the group includes a front surface, a rear surface, and a second clip portion extending from the rear surface. The second clip portion is configured to engage the first clip portion of the batten so as to secure the roofing panels to the batten.
Method and apparatus for installing roofing shingles
A method and apparatus for installing roofing shingles on a roof deck in a top-to-bottom manner is disclosed. Engineered battens am positioned and installed on the roof deck in a bottom-to-top manner. Each batten has a female mating area which allows complementary shingles to be securely attached to the battens by sliding a corresponding mating portion of a shingle into the mating area of the batten resulting in a snap-fit engagement which secures the shingles onto the roof deck without nails. The method and apparatus have several unique advantages, such as allowing shingles to expand and contract (breathe) without buckling and/or tearing when the ambient temperature fluctuates. In addition, since the manner of installation is from top-to-bottom, this allows roofers to use the rows of nailed battens as safety scaffolding improving roofers' traction and ultimately enhancing their safety while performing this inherently dangerous job.
