POLYISOCYANURATE COVERBOARDS WITH IMPROVED FIRE RESISTANCE
A construction board includes a foam body having first and second planar surfaces, said foam body including a polyisocyanurate foam matrix defining a plurality of closed cells, said closed cells being at least substantially devoid of hydrocarbon blowing agents, and said foam body being characterized by a density, pursuant to ASTM C303, of at least 2.5 lbs/ft.sup.3; and a facer disposed on a planar surface of said foam body, said facer including a glass substrate having an internal planar surface proximate to said foam body and an external planar surface opposite said foam body, a first coating disposed on said external surface, and a second coating disposed on or proximate to said internal surface, where said first coating disposed on said external surface includes an inert filler, and where said second coating disposed on or proximate to said internal surface includes intumescent material.
Modular building construction
A building panel is constructed of a corrugated material. The panel can be folded into a U-shaped configuration. Successive folded panels can be coupled together using complementary shaped corrugations to fix panels in position relative to each other. Shaped connectors can be used to connect building panels in one plane to building panels in another plane.
Enhanced roofing cover board
A cover board for use in a roofing system includes a core formed from recycled material. The core has a first major surface and a second major surface and the recycled material includes a plastic material. At least one region of the core has a concentration of plastic greater than a concentration of plastic within a remainder of the core.
CONSTRUCTION PANEL FOR USE AS SELF-SUPPORTING WALL PANEL OR ROOF PANEL
Construction panel for use as a self-supporting wall or roof panel having a high thermal insulation, comprising a base layer (1) of foamed material provided on both sides with a cover layer (2, 3) of fibre-reinforced, thermo-setting sheet material. The transverse surfaces are covered with a layer of polyurea, polyester or epoxy (5, 7).
Method of bonding together surfaces of two or more elements and a product made by said method
A method of bonding together surfaces of two or more elements. The method includes the steps of providing two or more elements, applying an adhesive to one or more of the surfaces to be bonded together before, during or after contacting the surfaces to be bonded together with each other, and curing the adhesive, wherein the adhesive comprises at least one hydrocolloid.
EQUIPMENT FOR FITTING PANELS FOR INSULATING COVERS
Equipment for fitting panels for insulating covers, such as “standing seam” panels for insulating housing roofs, includes an upper sheet, a lower sheet and an expanded polymer intermediate layer. A working unit extends along a longitudinal axis, which corresponds to the working line of the panels. A supply unit is coupled to the working unit, by a transfer unit extending along a horizontal longitudinal axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the working unit, for supplying reinforcement plates having a thrust portion and a flat portion. The working unit includes a carriage movable along the longitudinal axis. The carriage includes dies configured to cut and deform one end of the upper sheet of the panels and a thrust member for introducing reinforcement plates into a tail end of the expanded polymer intermediate layer. The thrust member is placed downstream of the dies along the working direction of the panels.
Enhanced roofing system
A roof system includes a roof deck, a weighted cover board disposed upwardly adjacent the roof deck and a plurality of fasteners coupling the weighted cover board to the roof deck.
Polycarbonate Roof Panel Having Reinforcement Recess for Coupling to Sandwich Panel
An industrial roof panel includes a projection and a complementary wing at opposite sides. The projection has a recess configured for clamping the panel to a second neighboring panel using a fastener such that the panel is supported by the second neighboring panel for reduced buckling under downward load. A modular panel system includes first and second mutually juxtaposed panels, each supported by purlins of a building structure extending along a width of the panels. The second panel has an undercut extending along a length of the panel on a distal side thereof. The first panel has an integral wing-type female coupler extending along a length of the first panel and overlaying an upward projection of the second panel, to which it is secured using fasteners and bolts.
Binder composition
The invention relates to an aqueous binder composition for mineral fibers comprising at least one polyelectrolytic hydrocolloid.
Eco-friendly energy generating roofs
Present invention relates to the field of Building Integrated Solar systems that help in generating electricity. It is a solar board that can be used as a roof, façade or other building applications. It also relates to a method of preparing, designing and producing the Solar Cement Boards by integrating the Cement boards with that of solar panels to form an envisaged single entity. The Solar Cement Board SCB comprises a plurality of Solar energy capturing components like Photo Voltaic (PV) cells or the like, sandwiched over specially treated Fiber cement board or the likes. The SCB comprises of a toughened glass and/or a thin film on top, ethylene vinyl acetate film as an encapsulate in the middle, and polyvinyl fluoride film as a back sheet. The SCB with top, middle and a back sheet is laminated together with Fiber cement board or the like providing a water-resistant enclosure. This is ultimately a unique integrated solar product.
