MEMBRANE INSTALLATION METHODS

A method includes obtaining a roofing membrane. A first layer of the roofing membrane is applied along a length of a roofing substrate covering a first portion of the roofing substrate. At least a first edge of the first layer is fastened to the roofing substrate. A second layer of the roofing membrane is applied over the first layer along the length of the roofing substrate such that a first edge of the second layer overlies the second edge of the first layer. The first edge of the second layer and the second edge of the first layer are fastened to the roofing substrate using a second fastener in a fastening zone along the length the roofing substrate. The second layer is reoriented such that the second layer overlies the fastening zone and covers a second portion of the roofing substrate adjacent the first portion of the roofing substrate.

INSULATION SCREW AND METHOD FOR INSERTING SUCH AN INSULATION SCREW
20210033137 · 2021-02-04 · ·

Insulation screw adapted to be inserted by a mounting device into insulation material, where the insulation screw comprises a body provided with at least one thread, where the tip of the body is pointed, where the outer diameter of the head is equal to or smaller than the outer diameter of the body and where the lead pitch of the thread is at least 30 millimetres. An insulation screw can be driven completely through a central opening since the insulation screw does not have a protruding head. The insulation screw is provided with a thread and the opening of a mounting device is provided with a corresponding threaded portion, such that the insulation screw is screwed into the insulation material by a non-rotating pushing force.

Stabilized horizontal roof deck assemblies

A horizontal roof deck assembly has a ribbed steel roof deck sufficiently strong to withstand specified gravity, uplift, and shear loads. Rigid substrate boards are positioned adjacent one another above the deck, defining end and side joints. End joints are parallel to and above a corresponding upper rib of the roof deck and are secured to the upper rib by compression disk fasteners spaced along the end joint. The side joints can be tongue and groove joints. Additional fasteners attach the substrate boards to the roof deck along the side joints, for wind uplift resistance, and for thermal movement resistance.

FASTENER, FASTENING ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD FOR MOUNTING
20200332823 · 2020-10-22 · ·

A fastening arrangement including a grommet, which is configured as a substantially cylindrical sleeve with a head part, with a hollow-cylindrical shaft and with a conical tip, and also a fastener and a nut, for example made of plastic, which is fitted on the first threaded portion of the fastener. The fastener has two threaded portions, wherein one threaded portion is configured as a right-hand thread and the other threaded portion is configured as a left-hand thread (or vice versa). Moreover, the invention comprises a mounting method for such a fastening arrangement, in which the setting operation (anchoring of the fastener, adjustment of the sheath) can be managed in one step without changing the driving direction of the setting tool.

A Wind uplift strap for securing a coverage structure. The Wind uplift strap including one or more metal strips having a thickness between 0.50 mm and 1.1 mm, substantially equal to that of the coverage structure, and a width between approximately 15 mm and 50 mm, depending on the load to be supported. The Wind uplift strap having a slightly angled fold in more than 90, forming a flap at one of its ends. The Wind uplift strap further comprising a main body, a flap, a hole for fixing the flap, a fold line of the flap, and a hole at an end of the main body that is opposite the flap.

System and method for adhering roof insulation products to a roofing substrate

A method and system for adhering roofing products to a supporting roof substrate, wherein ballast rock from a pre-existing roof insulation system is removed thereby exposing one or more layers of pre-existing insulation products supported by the roof substrate. In the case of new construction, the method contemplates installation of one or more layers of insulation products supported by the roof substrate. Core holes are formed through the one or more layers of insulation products thereby exposing the roof substrate. An anchor is attached to the roof substrate in each core hole void, and a binding agent is applied to each core hole void until the binding agent fills the core hole void, whereby the one or more layers of insulation products and roof substrate are locked together, preventing shifting of the insulation products without the need for adding ballast rocks thereon.

INDUCTION BOARD FOR ADHERED ROOFING SYSTEM
20240075711 · 2024-03-07 ·

An induction board for use in a roof system. The induction board includes a base and an adhesive covering the base or a portion of the base. Metal wire which may in the form of a metal wire mesh, is coated with the adhesive and disposed over the base. The metal wire may be used as a susceptor in an induction heating process. The roof system also includes a roof deck on top of which the induction board is secured and a membrane over the induction board. The adhesive activates with the addition of heat created during the induction heating process to adhere all or part of the membrane with the induction board.

PRE-ASSEMBLED DECKING PANEL AND STRUT ASSEMBLY FOR DATA CENTER CEILINGS AND ROOFS

A pre-assembled decking panel and strut assembly for data center ceilings and roofs including a decking panel that is a sheet metal in a shape of a wave and an elongated strut member configured such that hanging systems can be attached to the elongated strut member. The peaks and valleys of the decking panel and the strut member extend in a first direction and are spaced in parallel in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. A top wall of the strut member is affixed to a peak of the decking panel.
