METAL ROOF PANEL WITH DEFORMATION RESISTANT RIB AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
A metal roof panel includes a rib with a unique shape. The rib is bilateral with upwardly angled sides that each transition into an indentation, with both indentations transitioning into a central flat apex. Between each rib is a channel, preferably including at least one raised surface. The lower surface of the channel between the raised surfaces, and the top of the raised surfaces, are substantially planar and parallel to the flat surface of the apex of the panel. A unique method of manufacturing the roof panel employs a roll machine configured to shape a piece of sheet metal into the roof panel by modifying the shape in many small increments, which allows the final product to have a fairly intricate bend pattern.
Self-sealing roof fastener
A self-sealing fastener for installation of roofing materials for creating a substantially watertight seal around fastener penetrations where roofing materials or panels are affixed to an underlying roof deck by the fasteners. Also disclosed is a method for installing the self-sealing fastener for attachment of roofing materials to an underlying roof deck with the penetrations areas or holes created by the fasteners being substantially sealed against water penetration.
ROOF COVER FASTENER
A roof cover fastener may include a cover plate having a planar body with a perimeter. A central aperture may be disposed centrally in the body. A first annular rib may be formed into the body and may encircle the central aperture. A second annular rib may be formed into the body and may encircle the first annular rib. A first channel may separate the first annular rib from the second annular rib. A medial aperture may be disposed in the channel between the first annular rib and the second annular rib. Optionally, the fastener may also include an auger element having a first end and a second end. A head may be coupled to the first end, and a tip may be coupled to the second end. A thread crest with a thread root may extend from the second end towards the first end.
Waterproof nail and screw with enlarged head and protective gasket
An integral nail/disk structure that eliminates the need of having any exposed nails associated with a shingled roof having a color matching body member integrally formed with a roofing nail. Another embodiment including a fastener such as a nail or screw having an enlarged head and an associated gasket member for fastening sheet metal to a roof structure. The gasket member has a sealant on both of its top and bottom surfaces so as to adhere both to the underside of the enlarged head portion of the nail or screw, and to the sheet metal to create a waterproof seal. Still another embodiment includes an enlarged cap member associated with a gasket member attached to its underside portion wherein the cap/gasket member can be attached over a fastener hole in a roof, or over a faulty roofing nail or screw in lieu of caulking techniques usually used to cure leaks where the faulty fastener attaches sheet metal to a roofing structure.
Attachment means for connecting thin-walled roof or facade panels to a substructure as well as a kit having such an attachment means and a sealing washer and a kit having such an attachment means and a sealing washer and a magazining-belt, respectively
An attachment means for connecting thin-walled roof or facade panels to a substructure has a shaft on one end region with a point and on the other end region with a head. A number of longitudinal grooves are provided on the shaft which extend parallel or substantially parallel to the central longitudinal axis X of the shaft. The head of the attachment means has a flat-head at a side of which facing the shaft a washer is formed, which radially protrudes outwards from the flat-head. A fine thread is formed on the shaft at least in some regions. Further the invention relates to a kit having such an attachment means and a sealing washer and a kit having such an attachment means and a sealing washer and a magazining-belt, respectively, and a method for connecting a thin-walled roof or facade panel to a substructure.
SNOW GUARD
A snow guard for a standing seam metal roof, which may impede falling or melting snow and ice and may prevent gutters from being overwhelmed by falling or melting snow and ice. Such a snow guard may be fitted to the standing seams of the roof by screws or similar fasteners. The snow guard may prevent leakage through the holes created by the fasteners, may aesthetically blend into the material of the standing seam metal roof system, and may function as a base for scaffold systems. Such a snow guard may also add strength to the panels on which it is disposed. Finally, such a snow guard may also have the benefit of being easy to install.
Fastener for corrugated sheet
A fastener for a corrugated sheet includes a cylindrical assembly including elongated, plate shaped fastening members assembled as a hollow cylinder. Each fastening member is tapered to one end to form a hook at one end and having a curved groove on an outer surface, and a curved trough on the outer surface at the other end of the fastening member. The curved troughs are assembled to form an annular recess. A retainer ring is secured to the annular recess. A ring-shaped elastic member is secured to the curved groove. A first sealing member is put on the retainer ring. A threaded bolt driven through a washer, the retainer ring, and the fastening member. An expansion nut has a multi-sided outer surface and is moveably secured to the threaded bolt.
Low-slope Roofing System
Embodiments of the present invention may include a low-slope roofing system, the system comprising a geogrid layer, and a first coverboard layer, wherein the geogrid layer is attached to the first coverboard layer. Aspects of the present invention may also include a method of assembling a low-slope roofing system, comprising attaching a first coverboard layer, and attaching a geogrid layer to the first coverboard layer.
Fastening plate assembly
A roofing system includes a construction board positioned over a roof deck and a plurality of fastening plates positioned on a top surface of the construction board. At least one connector extends between two of the plurality of fastening plates and is positioned on the top surface of the construction board. The construction boards may be insulation or cover boards, and in certain embodiments may be polyisocyanurate boards. Fasteners are driven through the fastening plates and the construction boards and into an underlying roof deck to secure the construction boards in place.
