MOUNTING DEVICE FOR A METAL ROOF
A mounting device or clamp is provided that can be secured to a roof joint without damaging the roof joint. Two roof panels can be joined at a roof joint that extends away from the roof. The clamp has a body with a slot to receive the roof joint. An insert of the clamp is rotatable relative to the body from a first position to a second position. The clamp body can be positioned over the roof joint, and the insert can rotate or pivot from the first position to the second position relative to the body to secure the clamp to the roof joint. In one embodiment, a body of the clamp has a first arm that is concave and the insert has a concave portion to engage the roof joint. Alternatively, in another embodiment, the insert can be connected to the clamp body such that either a first projection or a second projection of the insert faces a roof joint.
SYSTEM FOR RE-ROOFING ASPHALT SHINGLED ROOFS
A method of roofing a bare roof deck includes applying asphalt shingles and metal flashings to a wood deck of a roof. The flashings applied are edge drip for edges and gable ends, metal valleys, and step flashing for wall to roof junctions. Asphalt capping of ridges or hips are applied. Metal panels overtop of existing asphalt roof are applied thereby creating a metal overlay configured such that substantially all of the asphalt shingles are covered with a metal panel for preventing further degradation of asphalt components by shielding from sunlight, UV rays, excessive moisture, snow, wind, ice, and fire. No further flashings are installed thereby the metal panel overlay is configured to create a semi-watertight seal such that the metal panel overlay together with the asphalt roof is adapted to create a watertight seal.

Solar Cell Wall or Roof Structure
An aspect of the invention relates to a solar cell wall or roof structure. The solar cell wall or roof structure comprises a wall or roof panel comprising first and second ribs and a central portion between the first and second ribs, the first and second ribs protruding upwardly with respect to the central portion, each of the first and second ribs having an apex, the central portion having an upper surface. The structure further comprises a photovoltaic panel having a back side and a fastener. The fastener comprises a first interconnecting part bonded to the upper surface of the central portion of the wall or roof panel and a second interconnecting part bonded to the back side of the photovoltaic panel. The fastener is configured to slidably fasten the photovoltaic panel on the wall or roof panel by sliding one of the first and second interconnecting parts in the other of the first the second interconnecting parts. The back side of the photovoltaic panel is optionally located below the apex of the first and second ribs. Other aspects relate to a method for producing a solar cell wall or roof structure, method for installing a solar cell wall or roof and a method for replacing the photovoltaic panel of a solar cell wall or roof.
Roofing Systems and Methods
A shingle assembly for installation on a roof structure is provided. The shingle assembly can include an insulative substrate, a surface sheet coupled to and extending across a substantial portion of the insulative substrate, and a hook-and-loop fastening system comprising a hook portion and a loop portion. The hook portion or the loop portion can be coupled to and extend along the insulative substrate adjacent the surface sheet. The other of the hook portion or the loop portion can be coupled to and extend along the surface sheet. The hook portion can be configured to mate with a loop portion of a first adjoining shingle assembly and the loop portion can be configured to mate with a hook portion of a second adjoining shingle assembly.
ROOF ATTACHMENT PAN FOR SOLAR ENERGY PANELS
A roof pan with raised ridges along lateral edges, where the raised ridges of one pan cooperate raised ridges of another pan to prevent water movement. A formed edge that is offset from the roof surface when the pan is installed on the roof allows a flashing to slide under the formed edge when the roof pan is installed on the roof surface.
Structural systems with improved sidelap and buckling spans
The invention relates to structural panel systems which utilize different configurations to increase the flexibility of the panel systems. The increased flexibility of the panel systems may be achieved through the use of improved connection patterns and/or improved sidelap strength. The improved sidelap strength may be achieved through the use of a reinforcing member between edges of the panels or other sidelap configurations that improve the strength of the system along the sidelaps. The increased flexibility may also be achieved through the use of orienting flutes of the panels in the same direction as the supports members of the panel systems. The different aspects of the invention that improve the flexibility of the systems may be utilized alone or in combination with each other to improve the wall panel systems or roof panel systems, or combinations thereof, to improve the displacement capacity of the panel systems for in-plane shear loading.
THERMALLY ADAPTIVE GLAZING PANEL ROOFING SYSTEM
A thermally adaptive glazing panel roofing system is provided. The system includes a glazing panel including at least one notch formed in a side of the glazing panel, two side brackets each including a ledge feature. Opposite sides of the glazing panel are supported by the ledge features. The system further includes at least one panel support plate attached to one of the ledge features and engaged to the notch. The system further includes a first pressure cap affixed to a first side bracket of the two side brackets and a second pressure cap affixed to a second side bracket of the two side brackets. The glazing panel is operable to thermally expand along the ledge features.
VARIABLE SECTION INTERLOCKING STRUCTURAL PANEL
An interlockable structural panel with a channel cross-section including a base and first and second side wall forming the sides of the channel, wherein an end of the first side wall distal the base is curved as a first arc directed away from a central portion of the channel and an end of the second side wall is curved as a second arc directed towards the central portion of the channel and wherein a straight section extends from the end of the second arc distal the base. Also methods for forming interlockable structural panels and for forming curved interlockable structural panels for constructions including roofs.
