Method for covering roof with shrink wrap
A system and method for temporary protection of a damaged roof is provided. The method includes draping a strip of the impermeable membrane over the roof, wherein the end of the strip overhangs a fascia of eaves of the roof, placing a piece of construction material in a horizontal position under the end of the strip, cutting the end of the strip as follows: a horizontal cut and two vertical cuts of the construction material, such that a resulting shape of the end of the strip is substantially commensurate with the construction material, fastening the construction material to the end of the strip, rolling the construction material at least one full turn in the end of the strip, attaching the construction material to the fascia of the eaves of the roof, and repeating the steps above until the entire roof is covered in the impermeable membrane.
Bracket cover flashing system and method of use
A bracket-flashing assembly for roofing in a bracket. Said bracket-flashing assembly comprise said bracket, a bracket cover and a fasteners. Said bracket comprise a fastener apertures configured to receive a portion of said fasteners to selectively attach said bracket-flashing assembly to a fixed structure and an added fixture. Said bracket comprise a first portion and a second portion. Said first portion is attached to said second portion at an elbow. Said bracket cover comprises a raised portion and a body. Said raised portion comprises a stamped portion of said raised portion being shaped to selectively encase a portion of said second portion.
Roof Deck Assembly and Method
The invention provides a generally horizontal roof deck having a corner and two parapet walls meeting at the corner. A roofing membrane has a major portion adhered to the roof deck and a side portion adhered to the first parapet wall and an end portion adhered to the second parapet wall. A bead of caulk is located between the side portion and the end portion and a respective parapet wall. Termination bars are affixed to the each of the parapet walls by axially driven pins that capture the termination bars on top of the respective side or end portions along their upper edges. Also disclosed is a method for constructing a roof deck using termination bars and axially driven pins that do not require predrilled holes.
ROOFING SYSTEMS UTILIZING A PRIMER INCLUDING A SILICON-TERMINATED POLYMER
A method of installing a roof system, the method comprising (i) providing a first membrane panel including a polymeric planar body having a top planar surface and a bottom planar surface; (ii) securing the first membrane panel to a roof substrate; (iii) providing a second membrane panel including a polymeric planar body having a top planar surface and a bottom planar surface; (iv) positioning the second membrane panel adjacent to the first membrane panel so that the second membrane panel overlaps the first membrane panel in a lap region; (v) applying a primer composition to the top planar surface of the first membrane panel in the lap region to form a first primed surface; (vi) optionally applying a primer composition to the bottom planar surface of the second membrane panel in the lap region to form a second primed surface; (vii) applying an adhesive to at least one of the first primed surface or the second primed surface; and (viii) seaming the first membrane panel to the second membrane panel with the adhesive, where the primer composition applied to the first membrane panel and the primer composition optionally applied to the second membrane panel includes a silyl-terminated polymer.
Rolled roof standing seam system and method of construction
The present disclosure relates generally to roofing structures, for example, suitable for covering houses and other structures. The present disclosure relates more particularly to a roofing structure including a decking layer, a base layer, a cap layer, and a plurality of rails disposed over the cap layer. The base layer includes a plurality of strips that form seams including a first base layer seam. The cap layer also includes a plurality of strips that form seams including a first cap layer seam that is spaced from the first base layer seam. The rails include a first rail that is aligned with the first base layer seam and a second rail that is aligned with the first cap layer seam.
Method for covering roof with shrink wrap
A system and method for temporary protection of a damaged roof is provided. The method includes draping a strip of an impermeable membrane over the roof, wherein the end of the strip overhangs the eaves of the roof, placing a rigid, elongated piece of construction material under the end of the strip that overhangs the eaves of the roof, such that the construction material is placed below the eaves of the roof, cutting the end of the strip such that it is coextensive with a length of the construction material and cutting the end of the strip below the construction material, fastening the construction material to the end of the strip, rolling the construction material at least one full turn in the end of the strip, attaching the construction material to the eaves of the roof, and repeating the steps above until the roof is covered in the impermeable membrane.
Thermoplastic flashing laminate
A flashing laminate includes a thermoplastic sheet having a bottom surface, a first longitudinal edge, and a second longitudinal edge, the flashing laminate includes an adhesive layer on a longitudinally extending portion of the bottom surface adjacent to one of the longitudinal edges, and a release liner positioned over the adhesive tape.
Fully-adhered roof system adhered and seamed with a common adhesive
A roof system comprising a roof substrate, a first membrane including first and second opposed planar surfaces, and a second membrane including opposed first and second planar surfaces, where said second membrane is adhered to said roof substrate through an adhesive disposed on said roof-substrate contacting portion of the first membrane, and where said second membrane is adhered to said first membrane through said adhesive disposed on a lap portion of said second membrane.
Sheet roofing with pre-taped seams and tape therefor
According to one aspect, a roof membrane is provided. The roofing membrane includes a main body, a first adhesive material, and a second adhesive material. The first adhesive material is bonded to a top surface of the main body and positioned toward a first edge thereof. The second adhesive material is bonded to the top surface of the main body and positioned toward a second edge thereof. The second edge is positioned opposite the first edge such that the first and second adhesive materials are positioned toward opposite edges of the main body and the same surface thereof.
