A base assembly includes a base plate. In a first operating condition, the base assembly of the magnetic clamping heat sink assembly is positioned in a first position away from a ferromagnetic element, and the spring holds the carrier body at a medial position spaced apart from the base plate. In a second operating condition, the base assembly of the magnetic clamping heat sink assembly is positioned in a second position adjacent to the ferromagnetic element, and the carrier body is driven downward against a force of the spring to a lower position and into contact with the base plate by magnetic attraction between the at least one magnet and the ferromagnetic element.

The insulation screw is provided with a thread and the opening of a mounting device is provided with a corresponding threaded portion, such that the insulation screw is screwed into the insulation material by a non-rotating pushing force.

Method for covering roof with shrink wrap

A system and method for covering at least a portion of a roof with an impermeable membrane is provided. The method includes placing a strip of the impermeable membrane over a subset of the portion of the roof intended to be covered, cutting a length of the strip to accommodate a size of the portion of the roof intended to be covered, fastening a flexible, elongated band of material to the end of the strip using a plurality of first fasteners, rolling the band of material at least one half turn in the end of the strip, attaching the band of material that was rolled in the end of the strip to a fascia of eaves of the roof using a plurality of second fasteners, and repeating the steps above until the portion of the roof is covered in the impermeable membrane.

The base includes a top, a bottom, a socket depending from the top toward the bottom, and an outer perimeter structure encircling the socket and depending downward from the top to the bottom. An internal reservoir is defined between the top and bottom of the base for holding a sealant against and in cooperation with the roof. The internal reservoir includes an upper cavity and a lower cavity. The upper cavity is bound within the socket. The lower cavity continuously encircles the socket and extends both below the socket and between the socket and the outer perimeter structure.

FASTENING ARRANGEMENT WITH ANGULAR COMPENSATION FUNCTION

An arrangement for fastening first and second components with automatic compensation in spacing between the components has a base element with first and second axial ends and a holding structure for holding the base element in an opening of the first component. An adjusting unit screwable into the base element has a driver unit. A fastening screw is connectable to the adjusting unit via the driver unit, such that, when the fastening screw is rotated, the adjusting unit can be rotated conjointly and moved into contact with the second component. The holding structure has a holding segment arranged such that, by the holding segment, an angle between the first and second component can be compensated such that, when the adjusting unit makes contact with the second component, a longitudinal axis of the fastening arrangement runs perpendicular to a plane of the second component.

A first annular rib may be formed into the body and may encircle the central aperture. A second annular rib may be formed into the body and may encircle the first annular rib. A first channel may separate the first annular rib from the second annular rib. A medial aperture may be disposed in the channel between the first annular rib and the second annular rib. Optionally, the fastener may also include an auger element having a first end and a second end. A head may be coupled to the first end, and a tip may be coupled to the second end. A thread crest with a thread root may extend from the second end towards the first end.
