Low-profile skylight device
The present invention relates to a low-profile skylight device. A frame of the device receives a window, wherein the frame that extends no more than 0.25 inch above a roof structure. The frame is comprised of a flange that allows the frame to attach to a roof structure using at least one fastener placed through at least one opening of the flange and/or at least one adhesive on a bottom surface of the flange. The membrane is preferably comprised of a waterproof, single-ply membrane that can be attached around the frame and flange to the roof surface via an adhesive bottom surface.
Roof window, a kit with a covering assembly, and a method for mounting a roof window
A roof window (1) comprising a frame (2), a sash (3) carrying a pane (4), where the frame (2) comprises an interface unit (8) extending in the length direction (L) of at least one frame member (21, 22, 23, 24). At least one flashing member (1011, 1012, 1013, 1014) comprises a flange (1017) inserted in a flashing reception groove (85) in the interface unit (8) in a direction parallel to the frame plane (F), said flashing reception groove (85) extending in the length direction (L) of the frame member (21, 22, 23, 24). One or more protrusions (85a) are provided in the flashing reception groove for engagement with the flange(s) (1017) and extend(s) in the length direction (L) and is/are made by co-extrusion with one or more parts (80, 86, 88) of the interface unit (8) delimiting the flashing reception groove. A method for mounting a roof window is also disclosed.
Packaging for roof window installation products, a packed kit of window installation products, and the use of a packaging for roof window installation products
A packaging for roof window installation products it disclosed. It packaging comprises a folded sheet member having a bottom section defining a first plane, four side sections and a top section, said sections together defining an inner room and first outer dimensions of the packaging, in the assembled state. The packaging comprises at least one flange and at least one handle, each being movable between a first position, where it extends substantially in parallel with at least one of said sections and adjacent to said at least one section, and a second position, where it extends beyond the first outer dimensions. Said at least one flange is configured for engagement with the roof structure when in the second position, and said handle is configured for carrying the packaging when in the second position. A use of a packaging for window installation products is also disclosed.
Method for mounting a roof window, a kit for use in the method, and a roof window
A method for mounting a roof window (1) in a roof structure (11) comprising a roofing material (112), said roof window comprising a frame (2), a sash (3) carrying a pane element (4), where the method comprises the steps of A) Arranging the roof window (1) in an opening in the roof structure (11), B) Arranging a plurality of flashing members so that they cover a joint between the frame (2) of the roof window (1) and the roof structure (11) with a top flashing member (1011) extending along the top frame member (21), a bottom flashing member (1014) extending along the bottom frame member (24), and at least two side flashing members (1012, 1013) extending along the side frame members (22, 23), and during step B) a flange (1017) of at least one side flashing member (1012, 1013) is inserted into a flashing reception groove (85) in the outer side (20o) of at least one side frame member (22, 23), said flashing reception groove extending in the length direction (L) of the side frame member.
Flashing device and a method of mounting a flashing device at a roof window
A flashing device (1014) for a roof window (1) comprising a first flashing member (1015), a second flashing member (1016) and two sealing members (106) arranged at opposite ends of the flashing device. The first and second flashing members are interconnected in sliding engagement allowing the relative position between them to be adjusted during mounting. Each sealing member (106) includes a first sealing portion (1061) positioned substantially in parallel with an inward portion of the second flashing member and a second sealing portion (1062) positioned substantially in parallel with a downward portion of the second flashing member. The sealing member (106) further comprises at least one frame attachment portion configured for attachment of the sealing member to the frame of the roof window. A method of mounting a flashing device is also disclosed.
