Roof ridge integrated water-shedding apparatus
A technique for installing a skylight at the ridge of the roof is used to redirect water away from the skylight by using a flashing member. Side rails containing a notch in the upper end are configured to receive a flashing member proximate the ridge of the roof. The flashing member redirects water away from the skylight without the use or installation of a diverter to reroute the water.
Support structures on roofs
Metal panel roofs, and load support structures for supporting loads on such roofs. Side rails provide primary support for loads on such roofs. The side rails can be fabricated from sheet metal or can be extruded. A side rail includes a standing seam cavity which is lowered, and covers, the standing seam. Side walls of the standing seam cavity. An upstanding web extends up from the cavity, and lower shoulders may extend laterally, optionally downwardly, from the walls which define the cavity, on either one side, or both sides, of the cavity. Building roof insulation can extend up through an aperture in the roof, surrounded by such load support structure, and extend up to the top of the side rail, thus providing a thermal break between the load support structure elements and the space surrounded by the load support structure.
Frame solution for laminated VIG unit
The present disclosure relates to a vacuum insulated glass (VIG) unit frame assembly (10), wherein said vacuum insulated glass unit frame assembly (1) comprises: a frame (20) comprising elongated frame profile arrangements (20a-20d, 70) which frames a vacuum insulated glass unit (1) in a frame opening (21), wherein said vacuum insulated glass unit (1) comprises at least two glass sheets (2a, 2b) separated by a gap (11) between said glass sheets (2a, 2b), wherein a plurality of support structures (12) are distributed in said gap (11), and wherein said gap (11) is sealed by means of a sealing system (1b, 1c) which seals an evacuation hole (1a) arranged in a first (2a) of said glass sheets and extending to the gap (11). A lamination glass sheet (14) is attached to an outer major surface (4a) of said first glass sheet (2a) by means of a lamination layer (16), and wherein said sealing system (1c) extends into a hole (14a) in the lamination glass sheet (14), and the edge (8a-8c) of the vacuum insulated glass unit (1) proximate the hole (14a) in the lamination glass sheet (14), said sealing system (1c) and said hole in the lamination glass sheet (14) into which the sealing system (1c) extends are covered by the frame (20). The disclosure additionally relates to a retrofitting frame system (100) and a laminated vacuum insulated glass unit (1).
Skylight frame with drain notches
A skylight having a frame with a flanged lip about a skylight window unit periphery having water drainage notches formed therein help keep the windows clean. The notches in the frame flange radiates outward from a central light transmissive region of the window unit and have an inboard depth adjacent the window opening approximately equal to the flange thickness. Inclination of the skylight when installed allows water to freely drain from through the notches off the central light transmissive region of the window unit.
SKYLIGHT WITH INTEGRATED SOLAR PANEL
A skylight includes a frame that is configured to be mounted to a structure, the frame defining a central opening and a solar power unit that is coupled with the frame.
Low-profile skylight device
The present invention relates to a low-profile skylight device. A frame of the device receives a window, wherein the frame that extends no more than 0.25 inch above a roof structure. The frame is comprised of a flange that allows the frame to attach to a roof structure using at least one fastener placed through at least one opening of the flange and/or at least one adhesive on a bottom surface of the flange. The membrane is preferably comprised of a waterproof, single-ply membrane that can be attached around the frame and flange to the roof surface via an adhesive bottom surface.
Skylight with integrated solar panel
A skylight includes a frame that is configured to be mounted to a structure, the frame defining a central opening and a solar power unit that is coupled with the frame.
