Flashing retainer assembly
10519709 · 2019-12-31 ·

The present invention provides an improved method for mounting and securing Flashing at exterior wall fenestration openings by using a three part system, Mounting Channel, Flashing, and Retaining Clip. The Mounting Channel is mounted at the opening or transition area when the framing is complete. The Flashing is inserted into the Mounting Channel. The Flashing is held in place with a Retaining Clip that uses tension to retain the Flashing in place. In this manner, the Flashing can be installed without the need for any mechanical fasteners and is designed to attach Flashing in a manner that allows fenestration to seal directly to the Air Barrier and reduce thermal bridging. Further, because the Flashing can be installed after all other exterior building components are installed, it is less likely that the Flashing will be damaged during the construction process.

Load Support Structure for Use on Roof
20190338525 · 2019-11-07 · ·

A roof load support structure supports a load on a sloping metal panel roof such that substantially all of the load is conveyed through rails, which are mounted on roof panel ribs, thence through the roof panel ribs, and to underlying building support structure. Minor portions of the load can be conveyed through an upper diverter and a lower closure. The upper diverter diverts water laterally away from the support structure, in two opposing directions to two opposing sides of the support structure. The support structure spans at least first and second ones of the roof panels. Cut, terminal ends of an intermediate rib are cantilevered from purlins immediately above and below the support structure, and thus support middle portions of the upper diverter and the lower closure.

Building aperture cover with VIG unit connected to fixation profile

The present disclosure relates to an aperture covering, such as a building aperture covering. The aperture covering comprises a VIG unit 3 and a frame. The frame (2) comprises elongated fixation profiles (6) each of which are fixed to and arranged parallel to an elongated structural frame member (8). The fixation profile (6) comprises a fixation wall (6a) which extends opposite to an exterior major surface (S1) of the vacuum insulated glass unit (3) and is fixed to the exterior major surface (S1) of the vacuum insulated glass unit (3) by means of a bonding seal (9). The fixation profile (6) comprises a connection member (6b) extending from the fixation wall (6a), wherein the connection member (6b) is fixed to the elongated, structural frame member (8). The elongated structural member (8) faces the opposite interior major surface (S2) of the vacuum insulated glass unit (3) placed opposite to the exterior major surface (S1) of the vacuum insulated glass unit.

CURB FOR USE WITH ROOF FLASHING
20190309521 · 2019-10-10 ·

A roof curb is used in association with a roof flashing installed on a roof with an incline and corrugated ribs, the roof flashing having a base member that may be mounted over a substantially vertical chimney in the roof and a hollow member having a first end and a second end, the first end being larger than the second end and the first end being attached to the base member of the roof flashing. The roof curb includes a first skid and a second skid that may be mounted upon the roof substantially in a direction of the incline and substantially parallel to each other. The first skid and the second skid each have a length that terminates in a top end and a bottom end, each of the first skid and the second skid being tapered such that the bottom end of each of the first and the second skids has a height greater than the top end, the first and the second skids being selectively attached to the roof to bridge the corrugated ribs and the taper being of a gradation to permit attachment of the roof flashing to the roof curb and passage of the substantially vertical chimney therethrough, the roof curb being discrete from the roof flashing.
