Sump drain apparatus, system, and method of construction
The present disclosure provides a sump drain apparatus comprising a drain inlet and a ramp coupled to the drain inlet comprising an incline plane configured to divert drainage water toward the drain bowl, wherein at least a portion of the ramp is configured to be positioned on top of a roof deck.
Thatch roofing system
A modular thatch panel for a thatch roof is provided that distinguishes a perforated louvered drainage and drying tray and an insert thatch bale. The tray has louvers at the bottom aspect of the tray and perforations distributed over the tray bottom. The bottom surface of the tray faces a barrier (e.g. water, thermal and/or fire) which overlays a roof panel. The tray and the barrier are at a distance suitable for airflow in between the two layers. The insert thatch bale is compacted, bonded and inserted in the perforated louvered drainage and drying tray.
COMBINATION OF A COVER PLATE AND A DRAIN AND USE OF SUCH COMBINATION
A combination of a cover plate and a drain, preferably a floor drain is described. The cover plate is provided with first locking means and the drain is provided with cooperating second locking means for releasable connection of the cover plate to the floor drain. The cover plate is a temporary cover plate for use during installation of the drain. The cover plate may be used for a temporary protection of a drain during installation of the drain and for installing and adjusting the inclination of the drain without the need of separate levelling tools. To obtain this the cover plate is provided with levelling means for determining the orientation of the cover plate and thereby also the drain in relation to a horizontal or a vertical plane. The first locking means or the second locking means comprises a weakening arranged such that at least a part of the locking means is preferably damaged when the cover plate is removed from the drain to ensure that the cover is not reused.
ROOF DRAIN COVER
A cover for a drain. The cover may be used with roof drains or other drains and allow for fluid collection into the drain even with buildup of debris around or on the cover. The cover may have a lower flange or skirt portion with a large area and extending outwardly in an arcuate or polygonal configuration and having openings for fluid flow. The lower portion may be oriented at a positive, zero, or negative angle with respect to the horizontal. The lower portion may be wider than a drain body over which the cover is used. An upper portion may be connected to the lower portion and may be more vertically-oriented than the lower portion and having openings.
Sealing ring and assembly of ducts including said ring
The invention relates to a sealing ring including, axially, a main portion (2) and a secondary portion (3), connected by a weakened intermediate portion (4) which can be broken under an axial force applied between the main portion and the secondary portion, the main portion (2) including an annular sealing sleeve (5) and a projecting outer shoulder (6) arranged at the end of the annular sealing sleeve (5), opposite the breakable portion (4), and the secondary portion (3) including a projecting inner shoulder (10). Said annular sleeve (5) of the main portion (2) of the ring can be inserted between ducts (16, 17) that are inserted into one another, said projecting outer shoulder (6) of the main portion (2) abutting against the end of the outer duct surrounding the inner duct, and said projecting inner shoulder (10) of the secondary portion (3) abutting against the end of the outer tube that is inserted into the outer duct.
Filtering drain cover
A two-stage filtering drain cover that can be retrofitted to an existing, original construction, areaway drain cover. The filtering drain cover of the invention inhibits the accumulation of debris on the existing drain cover, and passage of debris into the drain, and helps to prevent clogs and flooding. The outer cover member of the device is configured with passages that permit liquid flow through the outer cover while filtering larger size debris particles that may be entrained in the passing liquid. A perimeter wall on the outer cover and with similar liquid flow passages stops larger debris from passing the outer cover. An inner filter member fits within the outer cover and is configured with relatively smaller passages to obstruct smaller sized debris that may have penetrated the outer cover from passing into the drain.
INSERT FOR GUTTER AND DOWNSPOUT
An apparatus for use with a rain gutter and a downspout has a first portion which rests in the rain gutter and includes apertures extending between an exterior and an interior of the insert to allow water to flow from the rain gutter into the interior of the insert when the insert is resting in the rain gutter. The insert further includes a second portion extending downward from the first portion. The second portion includes an interior in fluid communication with the first portion to allow the water to flow from the interior of the first portion through the second portion and into the downspout. The apparatus also includes an adapter plate having an aperture to receive the second portion of the insert such that the second portion of the insert can extend through the adapter plate into the downspout when the apparatus is in the rain gutter.
