ROOF GUTTER SYSTEM
20220090383 · 2022-03-24 ·

A rotatable roof gutter system comprises an elongate trough that has a longitudinal axis and an open top end for receiving rainwater therein. A bracket assembly rotatably attaches the trough to a building relative to an eave of a roof of the building. The bracket assembly is configured such that the trough is rotatable about the longitudinal axis between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the open top end faces away from an edge of the eave. In the second position, the open top end is positioned to catch rainwater flowing off the edge of the eave. The system also comprises a moisture detector for detecting rainwater falling onto the roof and a drive assembly operatively connected to the moisture detector. The drive assembly rotates the trough from the first position to the second position in response to rainwater being detected by the moisture detector.

A T-piece for use in a water diverter is disclosed. The T-piece comprises an inlet for contaminated water and uncontaminated water, a first outlet for contaminated water, a second outlet for uncontaminated water, and a chamber between the inlet, the first outlet, and the second outlet. A portion of the chamber expands outwardly away from the inlet in order that the contaminated water adhered to the surface of the inlet becomes separated from the surface of the chamber. A water diverter comprising the T-piece is also disclosed.

Side outlet device for a box gutter rainhead

A side outlet device suitable for use in combination with a rainhead to form an overflow assembly is adapted to enable the rainhead to be mounted external to the building in relation to a wall of the building, to one side of a box guttering extending interiorly along the wall, whereby water flowing from the roof is able to pass through the side outlet device to a downpipe via the overflow device. The side outlet device has a respective end section at first and second opposite ends, with the first end section having a form corresponding to the form of a box gutter end section such that, with the side outlet device mounted in relation to the wall, the first end section extends through the wall and is receivable in the gutter receptor of the overflow device. The second end section is adapted for connection to the box guttering to enable water to flow from the box guttering and through the side outlet device to the overflow device.
