Systems for collecting rainwater and recycling grey water
10132083 · 2018-11-20 ·

Systems for water collection and recycling are described herein. A downspout having a downspout groove is vertically disposed on an exterior wall. Electrical wiring that is operatively connected to at least one electrical power generator is disposed along the downspout groove. The downspout and electrical power generator are supported by downspout brackets. The downspout is fluidly connected to a gutter and an outdoor water storage tank for collecting rain water. A water pump moves grey water from a shower tub drainage pipeline to a water path switch valve. A control switch directs the water path switch valve to divert the grey water to a toilet storage tank, an outdoor water storage tank, or a washing machine water tank.

MOSQUITO BREEDING PREVENTION DEVICE AND SYSTEM
20180228141 · 2018-08-16 ·

A device for insertion into an open end of a length of pipe to prevent mosquitoes from entering the pipe is provided. The device includes a piece of flexible foam material having a front face, a rear face and one or more edges joining the front face to the rear face. A plurality of indentions, preferably three, are formed in the front face of the piece of flexible foam material to allow a user to quickly and easily grip the device to insert or remove it from the pipe. The piece of flexible foam material preferably comprises open cell foam sized to permit water to flow through while preventing insects from passing through. The device may be used in connection with a system to prevent mosquitoes from entering into a rain gutter drain extension or a rain barrel system.

ELUTION SYSTEMS FOR TREATMENT OF DISTRESSED WATERS

Disclosed herein is an elution device comprising one or more inlets and one or more outlets and defining an interior volume comprising steel slag, wherein the elution device is mounted to a support and situated substantially above ground level. One or more inlets and one or more outlets are disposed to facilitate fluid flow from an inlet toward an outlet to cause contact of the eluant with the slag for a period sufficient to form an eluate. Also disclosed herein are methods of applying an eluant to the elution device and dispensing an eluate from an outlet proximal to a distressed water source to form a treated water source. Also disclosed herein are methods of applying an eluant to the elution device and dispensing an eluate from an outlet proximal to one or more areas having living plants thereon or therein.

Flatpack gutter trap
10000933 · 2018-06-19 ·

A one piece, planar flatpack gutter trap formed and creased on its top surface in a configuration so as to allow assembly into a gutter system trap. It is capable of folding assembly on a job site with a minimum of hand tools and an object with a sharp linear edge. It has a leaf guard incorporated thereon that is capable of locking the gutter trap in its assembled configuration to prevent the collapse of the leaf trap and to increase the lateral stability of the device.

Roof runoff water control system

Roof runoff water control systems for a building with gutters and a downspout and buildings without gutters. Both systems employ a swale in the ground that is lined with rock filled bags that are opened and laid overlapped end-to-end. For the downspout, a closed bag filled with rock is placed under the downspout with open bags filled with rock laid overlapped end-to-end in the swale and overlapped downstream from the closed bag. For a building without gutters and having a drip line in the ground, open bags filled with rock are laid overlapped end-to-end in the swale. The swale and the open bags are aligned with the drip line.

Filtering mesh with growth inhibiting material

A filtration device is provided for filtering a liquid that passes over the filtration device. The device includes a screen through which the liquid can pass, the screen having a top side, a bottom side, and a plurality of threads, at least a portion of the plurality of threads being a first material; and a growth inhibiting element that is one of attached to and a part of the screen, the growth inhibiting element being a second material. The second material and the first material are different materials.

Drainage system and apparatus for treating runoff

A drainage system, comprising a collector which is arranged to collect liquid and a drainage pipe having a pipe inlet that opens into the collector such that liquid collected by the collector drains through the pipe inlet. The drainage pipe is provided with a vent spaced away from the pipe inlet. The vent is arranged such that, when liquid collected by the collector occludes the pipe inlet, liquid flowing through the drainage pipe draws air into the drainage pipe through the vent.

Devices, systems, and methods for capturing debris from downspouts are provided. Downspout debris collection devices are installed to exits of downspouts of a gutter system for a building. A construction activity is performed at a roof of the building and netting collects debris exiting the downspouts while allowing water to escape. The downspout debris collection devices, with the collected debris trapped therein, are subsequently removed and at least the collected debris are disposed of.

Downspout guard, kit therefor, and method of assembly

A downspout guard having opposed sidewalls and opposed end walls connected to a top wall, all formed from material having openings therethrough, such as perforated metal. Bottom edges of the walls engage a gutter bottom wall to hold the guard in place and forcing water to flow through the guard before entering the downspout. The sidewalls can engage gutter front/back walls, further holding the guard in place. Trapped debris enhances further debris entrapment, even trapping particles smaller than the material openings.
