A functional roof construction arrangement for a roof frame of a building, includes a plurality of functional roof modules being assembled together. Each of the functional roof modules includes a module housing and a roof functional unit which includes three different roof functional panel units selectively supported by the module housing at different levels thereof to provide different functions for the building. The roof functional panel units are selectively configured for selectively providing multiple functions of solar energy collection, thermal insulation, sound insulation, wireless network system, and the like.

The invention relates to a surface coverings system for a surface such as a roof, a floor or another substantially flat surface subjected to water and needs drainage, and methods for preparing such a system. The surface covering system comprises a rectangular plate with a mark marking a highest point, a substantially flat lower surface and an upper surface with a first slope facing from the mark towards a second mark provided in connection to the outer edge of the plate. The first slope is circular and has a linear radial inclination () facing from the mark towards essentially all points on the rectangular plate. The slope forms an elevation in the plate forming at least a part of a cone or blunt cone with the tip of the cone defined by the mark with the lowest point(s) of the upper surface of the disc defined by the second mark.

In one aspect there is provided an insulated modular roof system for a roof structure. The system comprises a plurality of modular panels suitable for installation onto the roof structure and a water-proof membrane. Each of the modular panels comprises a first planar member, an insulating layer covering substantially all of the first planar member and a plurality of lateral edges. Each of the plurality of lateral edges provides either a step-like configuration or a reverse step-like configuration. When installed on the roof structure, the plurality of modular panels are positionable so as to place the plurality of lateral edges of any two adjacent modular panels in a generally overlapping arrangement.

This invention, in embodiments, relates to a roofing system that includes a roof deck, a plurality of tapered insulation panels applied onto the roof deck, at least one non-tapered insulation panel applied onto the plurality of tapered insulation panels, and a membrane layer applied onto the at least one non-tapered insulation panel. This invention, in embodiments, further relates to a roof assembly kit that includes a plurality of tapered insulation panels and instructions for installation, as well as a method of installing such a roofing system.
