Ridge vents and deck covers are disclosed that have a fibrous mesh mat and a moisture barrier. The mesh mat may be contoured to define a variety of structures and may have regions of relatively higher fiber density and regions of relatively lower fiber density. Solar cells may be exposed on the ridge vents to collect solar energy when the vents are exposed to sunlight.

A roof ridge vent system for roofs which includes a vent slot located through the roof structure along the roof ridge. A vent strip is provided that has a sufficient width to extend over the vent slot and partially over the shingles on each side of the vent slot. The vent strip has a longitudinal groove on an upper side located in a medial position that extends the length of the vent strip. The longitudinal groove forms a fold line to define a ridge line of the roof. Longitudinally extending glue strips are provided on a lower side of the vent strip adjacent to each of the longitudinal sides, which are adapted to contact the roofing on either side of the vent slot.

Compressible foam closure for metal roofs

A compressible foam closure for roof panels includes a core having an elongate body defining a longitudinal axis. The elongate body has at least two opposing sides and defines a thickness. A plurality of slits are formed in the core, into the thickness, extending from the at least two opposing sides toward the longitudinal axis. A thin, flexible, water impermeable skin covers the core. The slits can be formed fully through the core to form slices of the core that are stacked together.

Venturi Ridge Vent

A venturi ridge vent has an air-permeable vent body configured for mounting at the ridge of a pitched roof. The vent body defines a first opening and an opposing second opening and defines a flow path for air moving between the first and second openings. The first and second openings are disposed on opposing sides of the ridge when the vent body is mounted to the roof. The flow path defines a throat intermediate to the first and second openings. The throat area is less than the first or second opening areas to define a venturi. The attic is in fluid communication with the flow path proximal to the throat when the vent body is mounted to the roof.

VENTILATION SYSTEM FOR TILE ROOFS

A ridge vent for tile roofs is provided having a vent strip located on each side of a roof ridge. The ridge vent includes a center water dam having a centering portion and two leg portions, with the centering portion being located over a ridge board. The vent strips includes a vent material, formed from a non-woven mat, including a first surface, which matches a surface of the tile roof, and a second surface. An upper water barrier is attached to the second surface of at least one of the vent strips and extends over the roof ridge. The ridge vent is rollable and can be provided as one piece or as separate components.

ENTANGLED MESH ROOF VENT WITH INTEGRATED EXTERNAL BAFFLE

A roof vent includes a continuous elongate mat composed of a mesh of randomly oriented fibers. The mat has a top surface, a bottom surface, and a first longitudinally extending side surface. A portion of the mat proximate to and forming the first longitudinally extending side surface is configured as a wind baffle. The wind baffle includes a wind deflector lip, formed from the mesh, which extends above the top surface of the mat.

ROLLABLE RIDGE VENT

A rollable ridge vent for covering an open ridge of a roof and for allowing a flow of air to exit from the open ridge through the ridge vent includes a top panel having a center portion, a left side portion, and a right side portion, in which the top panel includes a plurality of louvers for allowing a flow of air to exit the ridge vent. In addition, the rollable ridge vent includes a spaced apart series of inner walls and a spaced apart series of outer walls extending downward from the left side portion of the top panel. The spaced apart series of inner walls and the spaced apart series of outer walls of the left side portion are staggered. The rollable ridge vent also includes a spaced apart series of inner walls and a spaced apart series of outer walls extending downward from the right side portion of the top panel. The spaced apart series of inner walls and the spaced apart series of outer walls of the right side portion are staggered.

Roof baffle

A baffle, for use with a roof deck, includes a main body portion and an attachment surface. The baffle is installable from the exterior side of a roof deck through an opening in the deck to form an air flow path between the interior side of the roof deck and the main body portion. The attachment surface may be attachable to the roof deck while the main body extends along the interior side of the roof deck.
