An indexer including at least one indexing tab that projects beneath the indexing edge of the plates reciprocates parallel to the indexing edge of the roofing plates between a first feed position and a second feed position. The indexer first feed position aligns the indexing tab with the indexing notch of the first plates and the indexer second feed position aligns said indexing tab with the indexing notch of the second plates. The indexer first feed position and said second feed position are coordinated with shuttle movement to release the lowermost roofing plate from the stack onto the shuttle by aligning the indexing tab (or tabs) with the indexing notch (or notches) of the lowermost plate

A method of covering a roof penetration in a roof includes providing a roof mounting device comprising a base, an outer perimeter structure, an open top, an open bottom, and an internal reservoir bound by the outer perimeter structure, and a fastener. The method includes securing the roof mounting device to the roof by applying the fastener to the base and to the roof penetration. The method includes applying a sealant to the internal reservoir until the sealant seals the fastener at the roof penetration.

Mounting device for inserting insulation holders into insulation material, where the mounting device comprises a drive head adapted to drive the insulation holder through a central opening of the head portion of the mounting device, where the central opening is provided with a threaded portion, where the lead pitch of the threaded portion is at least 30 millimetres. The advantage of the invention is that insulation holders can be inserted into insulation material in an easy and cost-effective way. An insulation holder can be driven completely through the central opening since the insulation holder does not have a protruding head. The insulation holder is provided with a thread corresponding to the thread of the central opening, such that the insulation holder is screwed into the insulation material.

A mounting device for covering a roof penetration in a roof includes a base having a hub, an outer perimeter structure, an open top, an open bottom, and ribs extending from the hub outward to the outer perimeter structure. An internal reservoir in communication with the open top and the open bottom. At least one of the ribs is formed with a bore for receiving a fastener for fastening the mounting device at the roof penetration.

A roof-mounting device for covering a roof penetration in a roof includes a base having an open top, an open bottom, and an outer perimeter structure. An internal reservoir of the device is in communication with the open top and the open bottom, and a mount plate is disposed in the internal reservoir extending between opposed ends of the outer perimeter structure. A bore is formed in the mount plate below the top of the base, the bore for receiving a fastener for fastening the mounting device at the roof penetration. When the bore receives the fastener therein, the internal reservoir is unsevered, remaining in communication with the open top and open bottom of the base.

A fastener installing vehicle includes an articulating frame having at least one mounting rail. A plurality of fastener installing assemblies are installed along the mounting rail with each including a mounting rail grip, a rotary impact driver, a fastener magazine, and a fastener-orienting tip. A power transmission system is capable of rotating wheels or tracks counter to each other to provide zero turning radius maneuverability. The fastener installing assembly has a feed tube communicating between the fastener magazine and the fastener-orienting tip, while the rotary impact driver is extendable along an axis transverse to the mounting rail. The rotary impact driver is electrically powered with means for monitoring electric current applied to it and process controller programmed to stop it when a predetermined applied current level has been met. The frame preferably includes lighting for illuminating a work area where fasteners are installed.

A method includes obtaining a roofing membrane. A first layer of the roofing membrane is applied along a length of a roofing substrate covering a first portion of the roofing substrate. At least a first edge of the first layer is fastened to the roofing substrate. A second layer of the roofing membrane is applied over the first layer along the length of the roofing substrate such that a first edge of the second layer overlies the second edge of the first layer. The first edge of the second layer and the second edge of the first layer are fastened to the roofing substrate using a second fastener in a fastening zone along the length the roofing substrate. The second layer is reoriented such that the second layer overlies the fastening zone and covers a second portion of the roofing substrate adjacent the first portion of the roofing substrate.

The internal reservoir includes an upper cavity and a lower cavity. The upper cavity is bound within the socket. The lower cavity continuously encircles the socket and extends both below the socket and between the socket and the outer perimeter structure.
