Adjustable step system
An adjustable step system for assisting a person walking up or down a flight of stairs. The system includes adjustable steps that can be mounted to the stairs of the flight of stairs. The adjustable steps effectively reduce the required vertical height of a step that a person is required to take for each stair. The adjustable steps are also movable and can be positioned at a desired location along the width of the stairs when not in use.
Modular staircase systems
Systems and methods for constructing staircases are described herein. The systems include a stringer hanger bracket for coupling a stair stringer of the staircase to an upper floor, two or more tread support structures and a jig. Each tread support structure is configured to couple a tread to the stair stringer. The jig is configured to determine a mounting position of each of the tread support structures on the stair stringer, determine a mounting position of each of the tread support structures on the stair stringer and/or determine a length of the stair stringer.
Spacer for prefabricated spiral staircase and prefabricated spiral staircase using same
The present invention relates to a spacer for a prefabricated spiral staircase, which allows adjustment of a height of a gap between footboards for a prefabricated spiral staircase in multiple steps by using minimal disks, and a prefabricated spiral staircase using the same. The spacer for a prefabricated spiral staircase comprises a cylindrical pipe, a lower cap or upper cap, a disk, a height adjustment member, and a location determining member, wherein the height of the spacer is adjusted in multiple stages according to relative rotation between the upper cap and the disk or between the lower cap and the disk.
STAIR TREAD PAN DESIGN WITH BOLT-IN PRE-CAST CONCRETE/OTHER MATERIAL TREAD CAPABILITY
A stair tread pan includes a plurality of stair risers, each of the plurality of stair risers comprising a uniform depth and width, whereby the stair tread pan consistently satisfies code requirements. The stair tread pan further comprising predetermined assembly tolerances are less than approximately inch for drainage of the stair tread pan in an exterior use. The stair tread pan comprises at least one tread nosing formed into the stair tread pan for yielding a uniform for reliable and durable tread nosing. The stair tread pan further comprising a poor stop at a top end of the stair tread pan for receiving poured concrete, thereby illuminating the need for tea-bars or other concrete containing structures for forming a top landing on the stair tread pan. The the stair tread maybe read a leap replaced without disturbing the structured integrity outside stair tread pan in a building environment.
Convertible stairs for wheelchair accessibility
The convertible stairs for wheelchair accessibility combine a tiltable staircase with a vertically movable platform. The tiltable staircase includes rotating stairs which can be angularly adjusted between a stepped configuration and a planar, ramp-like configuration. Proximal ends of first and second staircase frames are pivotally secured to the platform such that selective raising and lowering of the platform causes the tiltable staircase to tilt up and down. When the stairs of the staircase are rotated into the planar, ramp-like configuration, the platform may be fully raised to tilt the staircase upward, creating a horizontal surface for the wheelchair to cross from the platform to an upper floor or level. To exit the upper floor or level, the wheelchair user reverses the process, returning to the platform which is lowered to the lower floor or level, also lowering the staircase. The stairs may then be rotated back to a stepped configuration.
Kit of parts for modular staircase
A kit of parts for securing a plurality of fixtures to an elongate support member is described. The kit of parts comprises a plurality of attachment members. Each attachment member comprises an aperture for receiving the elongate support member and a fixing detail adapted to attach a fixture to the attachment member. The aperture is larger than a lateral dimension of the elongate support member to provide a gap between the attachment member and elongate support member when received in the aperture. The kit of parts also comprises a plurality of locking elements. Each locking element is adapted to be received in the aperture in the gap between the attachment member and the elongate support member to secure the attachment member to the elongate support member by friction. Further, each attachment member is adapted to engage an adjacent attachment member when secured to the elongate support member by at least one said locking element to form a hollow column secured around the elongate support member for supporting a plurality of fixtures.
STAIRCASE WITH ADJUSTABLE HEIGHT RISERS
A staircase kit, device, and method that uses precut, fixed-sized components capable of producing building code-compliant staircases that can accommodate foot or more differences in home story heights. The design uses fixed-length stringers and adjustable height risers. The angle between the stringers to the floor changes depending on the height of the adjustable height risers and story height. The angles of the steps, stringers and banisters/handrails are configured to adjust with respect to the other components with the aid of turnbuckles and movable joints or bolts, thus keeping the steps and landings level at different story heights. This enables homeowners, generally exempt from contractor license requirements, to use a prefabricated kit to build code-compliant stairways in their homes with little or no staircase cutting or part modification.
STEP FOR MODULAR STAIRCASE
The step for modular staircases comprises a portion of tread (2) associated with a support body (3) suitable for permitting the reciprocal assembly of the adjacent steps (1). The support body (3) comprises a pair of beams extending substantially vertically, suitable for being arranged facing one another in mounting position so as to define respective sides (40) of the step (1). Protruding perpendicular from the sides (40) are a respective upper bracket (5) and a respective lower bracket (6), suitable one for supporting in support said portion of tread (2) and the other for being secured to an opposite bracket (5) of an adjacent step (1).
Portable pathway apparatus
A portable pathway apparatus for providing a path over a surface, the portable pathway comprising: a pliable frame member; a row of mating holes disposed on each side of the pliable frame member; a set of steps coupled to the pliable frame member; wherein one or more of the set of steps is coupled to the pliable frame member with a mount that aligns with the row of mating holes on each of the corresponding sides of the pliable frame member.
