A mounting device for a deck post in the shape of a square tubular member made from four flat polygonal planar side elements and one or more an attachment members extending from the top of the tubular member and which form grooves that are sized and spaced to receive structural joists, and at least one retaining tab extending perpendicular from the bottom edge of the tubular members to retain a post member inserted into the tubular member.

Panel securing system and method
11613895 · 2023-03-28 · ·

A securing system for use with glass panels is provided. The securing system provides clamping and securing forces to a panel held within a base shoe system, e.g., of a frameless glass guard railing. The securing system includes a back plate with separately tapered portions, and a shim assembly including tapered shim members. Each tapered shim member overlays a separately tapered portion of the back plate and is laterally positionable thereupon. Downward forces applied to the shim members are translated into lateral forces causing the shim members to move laterally in relation to the back plate. These lateral translations cause the system's width to increase to secure the panel within the base shoe and/or decrease to release the panel from the base shoe. The system also includes tools to apply said downward forces.

BATTEN FIXING CLIP AND A METHOD OF FIXING THE CLIP

A batten fixing clip, comprising: a male connector comprising a batten interface portion for attachment to a batten, and a female connector interface portion for engaging a female connector; and a female connector comprising a support structure interface portion for attaching to a support structure and a male connector interface portion for engaging the male connector, the male connector interface portion including a retainer and a resilient clip comprising of an aperture, wherein the aperture receives at least part of the female connector interface portion and the clip biases the female connector interface portion against the retainer when in use.

The first bracket connects the first rail to the post and comprises a first plate, a first pivot member, a first receiving portion, and a first base. The first receiving portion and the first base are adapted to pivot about a longitudinal axis of the first pivot member. The second bracket connects the second rail to the post, and comprises a second plate, a second pivot member, a second receiving portion, and a pin. The second receiving portion is adapted to pivot about a longitudinal axis of the second pivot member.

BALUSTER ATTACHMENT MECHANISM HAVING SECURING RESILIENT FLANGES
20230160212 · 2023-05-25 ·

A multi-directional railing support includes a fastener having a first threaded end that attaches to a substrate and a second threaded end. A securing portion is attached to the second threaded end and includes outwardly extending resilient flanges. The securing portion and the second threaded end define a receiving stud. The securing portion is axially adjustable relative to the second threaded end to adjust a clearance space between the securing portion and the substrate. A baluster includes a hollow end that extends over the outwardly extending resilient flanges of the receiving stud. The outwardly extending resilient flanges cooperate with the hollow end to provide for movement of the baluster toward the substrate and contemporaneously prevent movement of the baluster away from the substrate. The outwardly extending resilient flanges bias the baluster toward a rotational axis of the fastener.
