A handrail system includes a top rail and one or more support posts. The rail and post/s may be formed from a synthetic material such as a fibre reinforced plastics material. The or each connector has a rail connection part for connection to a rail section at either end thereof and a post connection part for connection to a support post, the connector forming part of the top rail whereby a continuous top rail is provided, in which the connection of the post/s to the connector/s is articulated so that in use the rail slope is adjustable. The system also includes one or more adjustable corner connectors including first and second parts hingedly connected to each other and being attachable to a rail section and a support post or leg.

Modular Guardrail System

A modular guardrail system relates to a set of interconnected beams that each fit into pairs of detachable bases, thus allowing for the creation, adjustment, and removal of a variety of configurations of temporary fence-style barriers. Each guardrail section may include two vertical posts, one on each end of each guardrail section, connected by a set of horizontal beams and, in some cases, a horizontal toeplate. Adjacent guardrail sections share a common base, thus allowing for the chain assembly of an extended barrier. The base that connects to the guardrail sections may include several vertically-oriented brackets that may slide into the different guardrail posts. The placement of the vertical brackets upon the base is selected so that each of the attached guardrail sections can be arranged independently of one another in any direction. The vertical brackets may be rotatably attached, thereby allowing for more flexible arrangements of the guardrail sections.

A hand rail system and associated methods. Newel posts of the hand rail system can be mounted in a top mount configuration or a lateral mount configuration. Mounts are receivable in a boot subassembly in a horizontal or vertical arrangement for anchoring the boot subassembly to substructure. After anchoring of the boot subassembly, a column subassembly may be installed and anchored. Openings in the boot and column subassemblies permit access to the interior of the newel post for anchoring the boot and column subassemblies and for connecting a hand rail to the column subassembly. Subsequent installation of covers on the boot subassembly and column subassembly closes the newel post and provides a finished appearance free of external indication that openings in the newel post existed and have been covered. Four-sided turned newels, newel panel retainers, and associated methods are also disclosed.

BRACKET FOR SUPPORTING ATTACHMENT OF THE END OF A RAILING MEMBER TO A VERTICAL MEMBER

A railing bracket including a cup having a bottom wall, a first side wall, a second side wall disposed opposite the first side wall, and a notch. The first side wall defines a first countersunk through hole configured to receive a fastener. A U-shaped cap has a top wall, a first lateral wall, a second lateral wall, and a tab. The first lateral wall is configured to cover a head of the fastener and the notch is configured to receive the tab.
