ELBOW ASSEMBLY FOR RAMP AND PLATFORM ASSEMBLY
The present disclosure provides elbow assemblies for ramp and platform assemblies, and ramp and platform assemblies. The elbow assembly includes a first elbow sub-part that is configured to nest within a second elbow sub-part. The elbow assembly includes useful features, including structure that enables direct connection either to a tubular support member or a flat portion of a support member, and structure that provides a smooth transition between the first elbow sub-part and the second elbow sub-part at any angle within the range of motion.
Glass railing anchor system
An improved glass railing anchor system for multiple glass panels in high-rise buildings which can experience hurricane strength winds, and which includes an elongated base member having two hollow wall sections which create a channel for receiving the glass panels. Aligned with and beneath the hollow wall sections are integral keyways which anchor assembly's which include mounting plates, elevated rails and a central mounting post that also elevate the base member to allow for drainage. The anchor assemblies are slidable and can be selectively positioned for easy and secure installation. The base member, hollow wall sections, keyway and drainage areas can be integrally incorporated into a unitary device.
SPRING ACTION CLIP FOR BALUSTERS
A railing system includes an upper rail and a lower rail spaced from the upper rail. The railing system also includes a plurality of balusters positioned between the upper rail and the lower rail. The railing system further includes a clip configured to attach one baluster of the plurality of balusters to the lower rail or the upper rail. The clip includes a baluster engagement portion configured to be received within an open end of the one baluster. The clip further includes a tab extending from the baluster engagement portion. The tab includes a fin portion configured to be inserted within one aperture of a plurality of apertures of the upper rail or the lower rail. The tab also includes a spring portion coupled to the fin portion. The spring portion is configured to secure the clip to the upper rail or the lower rail.
BRACKET FOR SUPPORTING ATTACHMENT OF THE END OF A RAILING MEMBER TO A VERTICAL MEMBER
A railing bracket assembly includes a cup with a back wall, a bottom wall, a first side wall, and a second side configured to support an end of a railing member. The back wall defines a plurality of through holes and each side wall defines a through hole, each configured to receive a fastener. A cap is adapted to cover the cup, and it has a U-shape configured to expose the bottom wall of the cup. A portion of the first side wall of the cup proximate the bottom wall is configured to contact a first tab of the cap, and a portion of the second side wall of the cup proximate the bottom wall is configured to contact a second tab of the cap to secure the cap to the cup.
FABRICATION LAYOUT DEVICE & METHOD
Techniques and devices are disclosed for fabrication layout device. The device includes a table with a work surface. The work surface being a continuous surface and configured to support a plurality of railing pieces for fabrication of a railing assembly. The device further includes a beam located above the work surface. The beam is operatively coupled to the table, such that the beam moves relative to the work surface in a first direction. Attached to the beam is an ink dispenser. The ink dispenser is configured to move along the beam in a second direction different from the first direction. The ink dispenser is further configured to dispense ink onto the work surface of the table in the form of a pattern of the railing assembly. Railing pieces are positioned on the pattern so that they can be assembled to one another.
RECESSED LIGHTING FIXTURE
A lighting fixture is provided that may include a channel configured for disposition at least partially within a recessed groove. The channel may be configured for mounting in the recessed groove by one or more fasteners, brackets and/or a combination of both fasteners and brackets. The lighting fixture may further include a mounting tray positioned within the channel and configured for mounting of a lighting element. The lighting fixture may also include a lens, for example a flexible lens, disposed at least partially within the channel and configured to at least partially cover the lighting element.
Railing system
A rail system. The rail system includes an upper rail member, a lower rail member and a plurality of balusters. The upper rail member, lower rail member and balusters secure together and to a support structure to form the rail system. The support structure may include columns, newels, walls and the like. The upper and lower rail members each include a cap that snaps onto a rail support. Fasteners may fasten the balusters directly to an upper rail support. Fasteners may further fasten the balusters directly to a lower cap.
Lighting module assembly and method of use
A lighting module assembly, including a module base and module cover housing a light source, and having latches sized and spaced so as to mate with the channels of the module base, each latch having a latch tab at a distal end of the latch. A locking unit connects the module cover and the module base together. The locking unit is formed of a springy material and includes two locking bodies and a ramped tang extending from the bottom of the locking body, and a pair of latch members, one mounted on each side of the ramped tang. The module cover includes a reflector portion for receiving light from the light source. The assembly may be provided with a tool with a plurality of prongs, connected by a handle and which, when inserted, engage the ramped tang and move the latches, to release the lighting module from the support base.
HAND RAIL SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED COMPONENTS AND METHODS
A hand rail system and associated methods. Newel posts of the hand rail system can be mounted in a top mount configuration or a lateral mount configuration. Mounts are receivable in a boot subassembly in a horizontal or vertical arrangement for anchoring the boot subassembly to substructure. After anchoring of the boot subassembly, a column subassembly may be installed and anchored. Openings in the boot and column subassemblies permit access to the interior of the newel post for anchoring the boot and column subassemblies and for connecting a hand rail to the column subassembly. Subsequent installation of covers on the boot subassembly and column subassembly closes the newel post and provides a finished appearance free of external indication that openings in the newel post existed and have been covered. Four-sided turned newels, newel panel retainers, and associated methods are also disclosed.
