DRUG-COATED BALLOON CATHETERS FOR BODY LUMENS
Various embodiments disclosed relate to drug-coated balloon catheters for treating strictures in body lumens and methods of using the same. A drug-coated balloon catheter for delivering a therapeutic agent to a target site of a body lumen stricture includes an elongated balloon having a main diameter. The balloon catheter includes a coating layer overlying an exterior surface of the balloon. The coating layer includes one or more water-soluble additives and an initial drug load of a therapeutic agent.
Polymer coatings containing drug powder of controlled morphology
A method for depositing a coating comprising a polymer and pharmaceutical agent on a substrate, comprising the following steps: discharging at least one pharmaceutical agent in a therapeutically desirable morphology in dry powder form through a first orifice; discharging at least one polymer in dry powder form through a second orifice; depositing the polymer and/or pharmaceutical particles onto said substrate, wherein an electrical potential is maintained between the substrate and the pharmaceutical and/or polymer particles, thereby forming said coating; and sintering said coating under conditions that do not substantially modify the morphology of said pharmaceutical agent.
COATINGS FOR BIOLOGICAL INTERFACE ON IMPLANTS
Disclosed herein are coatings made from a biocompatible controlled release polymer and an active component. The active component can be, for example, an antimicrobial agent, an immune modulating agent, a cell signaling factor, or a growth factor. The coating has micrometer and nanometer scale features on the surface thereof.
METHOD FOR COLOR MAINTENANCE AND ENHANCEMENT OF TATTOO
A waterproof and air-permeable moist dressing which moisturizes and enhances color for aftercare of fresh tattoo. Therefore, the waterproof and air-permeable moist dressing can provide professional and medical repair, protection, isolation, and absorption of wound exudates and tattoo inks after tattooing to improve the aesthetical beauty of the tattoo.

REGENERATION OF VITAL TOOTH PULP
Methods of regenerating vital tooth tissue in situ after endodontic therapy include introducing a hydrogel scaffold into a root canal of a tooth in a patient after native pulp has been removed from the root canal. The hydrogel scaffold may comprise a sponge scaffold, and can be acellular. The hydrogel scaffold can contain chemotactic, angiogenic, neurogenic, and/or immunomodulatory biofactors that cause infiltration of endogenous cells from the patient into the root canal. Alternatively, such biofactors/drugs can be administered to the patient separately from the hydrogel scaffold. The hydrogel scaffold can fill the periapical space of an abscessed root.
Apparatuses and methods for producing enriched fibrillated tissue matrices
Apparatuses and methods for producing enriched fibrillated tissue matrices are disclosed herein. Some embodiments include a method including subjecting tissue in a carrier liquid to a fibrillation pressure while maintaining a temperature of the tissue and the carrier liquid to at or below a safe zone temperature; inducing a phasic shift and rapid release of water and biological components from the tissue through a disruptive boil and tissue explosion process to produce a fibrillated tissue matrix; and recapturing the water and biological components.
DISSOLVABLE MICRONEEDLE ARRAYS FOR TRANSDERMAL DELIVERY TO HUMAN SKIN
A method of forming a microneedle array can include forming a sheet of material having a plurality of layers and micromilling the sheet of material to form a microneedle array. At least one of the plurality of layers can include a bioactive component, and the microneedle array can include a base portion and plurality of microneedles extending from the base portion.
Biological Formulations and Methods for Treating Cardiac Tissue and Disorders
Methods for treating damaged cardiac tissue by delivering biological formulations proximate the pericardial space of a mammalian heart that (i) enhance and supplement the properties provided by the GATA6.sup.+ macrophages in the serous fluid and/or (ii) restore, enhance and supplement the properties provided by the GATA6.sup.+ macrophages when the pericardial space is breached and the serous fluid is expelled.
Endovascular stent grafts and methods of using said stent grafts
AN endovascular stent graft including a hydrogel capable of retarded swelling when coming into contact with blood upon implantation in a patient is provided. Methods for the treatment of aneurysms and the prevention of ischemic neurological damage, in particular spinal cord damage, in patients receiving aneurysm repair procedures, using said endovascular stent grafts is also provided.
