Cable tensioning system for railings and barriers
The present disclosure is directed to cable tensioning systems for use in railings and barriers. The cable tensioning assembly can be used in railings and barriers that utilize vertical or horizontal cables. The present assembly includes a tension bar which runs along the rails of the railing system and has a plurality of equidistant pairs of apertures. Each pair of apertures secures an end of a cable and accepts a tension adjuster. The tension adjuster of one embodiment threadably engages with the rail to pull the tension bar close to the rail and apply tension to the cable. The tension adjuster of another embodiment threadably engages with the tension bar to push the tension bar closer to the rail and apply tension to the cable.
Railing Support Post With Threaded Receivers
A railing support post with threaded holes or receivers for receiving threaded hardware, such as might be used for tensioned cable railing. A decorative sleeve or post cover may be used to at least partially enclose the railing support post. The railing support post may be manufactured, for example, by providing an elongated member of a prescribed length, drilling a plurality of holes spaced along the length of the elongated member, and tapping the plurality of holes to form a plurality of threaded receivers. The threaded receivers are configured to receive rail fittings or other fittings.
Vertical Cable Railing Assembly
A railing system is provided that illustratively includes a first rail and a second rail where the first rail is spaced-apart from the second rail. At least one cable that extends between the spaced-apart first and second rails. The at least one cable includes a stop sleeve disposed about the cable and positioned adjacent an end of the at least one cable. A cable tensioner having a body, a bore disposed through the body, and a stop surface is located adjacent an opening in the cable tensioner. An adapter that includes a body and a bore that extends into the body. The body of the adapter forms a surface located in contact with an underside surface of the top panel of the second rail between the first and second sidewalls of the second rail.
Wire rope termination and tensioning for cable railing
A cable gripping and tensioning apparatus is provided for attaching a cable to an anchor point such as a wooden post as part of a cable railing system. In one form, the apparatus includes a tubular component and a ferrule. The tubular component includes external threads to engage the wall of a hole in the post, an internal axial bore through which a cable may pass, a first end which may engage a wrench to rotate the tubular component and a second end which may provide a thrust bearing surface. The ferrule is swaged to an end portion of the cable. The ferrule provides a thrust bearing surface for contact with the second end of the tubular component, allowing for the rotation of the tubular component to tension the cable while the cable does not rotate.

A railing system is provided that illustratively includes a first rail and a second rail where the first rail is spaced-apart from the second rail. At least one cable that extends between the spaced-apart first and second rails. The at least one cable includes a stop sleeve disposed about the cable and positioned adjacent an end of the at least one cable. A cable tensioner having a body, a bore disposed through the body, and a stop surface is located adjacent an opening in the cable tensioner. An adapter that includes a body and a bore that extends into the body. The body of the adapter forms a surface located in contact with an underside surface of the top panel of the second rail between the first and second sidewalls of the second rail.
CABLE RAILING WITH TENSIONING DEVICE
A railing system is provided. The railing system can include a panel coupled to a post or wall with a tensioning device. The panel can include one continuous strand of cable threaded through, back and forth, two loom members. The loom members can be designed or configured to organize the cable so that the distance between each strand does not exceed spacing requirements in the building codes for railing balusters.

Cable railing system and method of installation
A cable railing system is provided that includes cables connected to two or more supporting structures secured to a surface, for example vertical railing posts on a deck. The ends of the cables may be fitted with lag screws allowing the cable to be securely attached to the supporting structures. The lag screws have external threads that are larger than the diameter of the body where rotating the head component of the lag screws drive the lag screws into the supporting structures. The lag screws have a head component with a central bore and body component with a hollow cavity and an ending point whereby the cable is inserted into the hollow cavity through the central bore and positioned at the ending point where it then can be crimped in place and then tightened by twisting the head component.
Horizontal cable rail barrier
A barrier panel includes first and second vertical rail members, each with a plurality of through holes spaced apart along its length. Top and bottom horizontal rails extend at least from the first vertical rail member to the second vertical rail member, and a first end of the top horizontal rail extends beyond the first vertical rail member in a first direction and a second end of the top horizontal rail opposite the first end extends beyond the second vertical rail member in a second direction opposite the first direction, each end is configured to be coupled to a respective post. A plurality of cables are vertically spaced apart along a length of the first vertical rail member, each cable extends from the first vertical rail member to the second vertical rail member.
VERTICAL CABLE BARRIER HAVING RAILS WITH INTERNAL CABLE FITTING ENGAGEMENT FEATURES
A rail panel includes a top rail defining a plurality of fastener receiving holes and a plurality of top cable holes. The rail panel includes a bottom rail defining a plurality of bottom cable holes and a plurality of clip receiving holes. The rail panel includes a plurality of vertical cables extending from the top rail to the bottom rail. The rail panel includes a plurality of threaded swage fittings, each coupled to a respective top end of one of the plurality of vertical cables, and a plurality of clip receiving swage fittings, each coupled to a respective bottom end of one of the plurality of vertical cables, and a plurality of clips, each received by a respective clip receiving swage fitting.
