EXPANSION/CONTROL JOINT FOR STUCCO SURFACES AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
An expansion/control joint for use within a stucco or plaster wall includes a first base panel having a first stucco stop wall formed on the first base panel and extending from the first base panel. A second base panel has a second stucco stop wall faulted on the second base panel and extends from the second base panel. The second stucco stop wall is positioned spaced a distance from the first stucco stop wall. A single expansion joint is connected between the first and second stucco stop walls and extends the spaced distance between the first and second stucco stop walls.
Laminated air circulation board
A laminated board is secured to the inner wall of a cavity wall construction to establish a defined spacing between the inner and outer walls and prevent excess mortar from bridging to the inner wall. The laminated board has a series of spaced sockets into which fasteners may project into the face of the inner wall or framing thereof to secure the outer wall. The board is installed prior to the construction of the outer wall and establishes a minimum spacing or gap between the walls based upon the thickness of the board. The outer wall is constructed immediately adjacent to the outer face of the laminated board. The board is impervious and eliminates bridging by the mortar, eliminates transfer of bulk water from the exterior finish to the inner wall and provides an air conduit to exhaust even the minimal amounts of vapor that will occur in the cavity.
MIXED STUCCO BLOCK
The invention is a mixed stucco block of gypsum blocks. Due to using a layer of compacted polystyrene in its center, it is much lighter than regular gypsum blocks. In addition, its heat transfer coefficient is less than solid stucco panels. In addition, due to applying some smithereens in it along with support system and innovative Rabyts, mechanical connection of cement mortar is provided for it. Therefore it is possible to use this block in wet places including in bathroom, WC, and as the side wall of the faade.
VENTED STOP BEAD APPARATUS, VENTED WEEP SCREED APPARATUS, AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS THEREOF
A vented stop bead and a vented weep screed are used to vent a stucco or plaster wall. The vented stop bead has a base panel with a stop bead wall extending from the base panel at a first location and a spacing member wall extending from the base panel at a second location, wherein a spacing member is connected to the spacing member wall. A vented portion is positioned between the stop bead wall and the spacing member wall, wherein the vented portion has a venting structure positioned through the base panel between the first and second locations. The vented weep screed has a nailing fin with a first leg extending therefrom at a first location. A second leg extends from the nailing fin at a second location, the second leg having at least one venting structure positioned through the second leg.
METAL LATH ACCESSORY WITH METAL LATH ATTACHMENT FEATURE
A metal lath accessory comprising a metal lath attachment feature that includes a side wall, a first flange extending from the side wall, and a second flange extending from the side wall. The first flange comprises at least one barb that projects from the first flange towards the second flange. In some embodiments, the second flange comprises at least one barb that projects from the second flange toward the first flange. The barbs may be configured to engage a piece of metal lath that is inserted between the first flange and the second flange.
Exterior insulation mortar for cold weather and method for constructing exterior insulation system using same
Disclosed are an exterior insulation mortar for cold weather which may prevent freezing and improve strength at temperatures below 0 C., and an exterior insulation system using the same.
L-BEAD: A LEAK PREVENTION SYSTEM FOR STUCCO SURFACES
A stop bead for mounting along a frame/jamb of a window or door of a building to separate the frame or jamb from plaster/stucco material during application of the plaster or stucco material to the building comprises a first side end portion and a second side end portion, a base panel having a front face, a stop bead wall formed on the base panel and extending outwardly above the front face of the base panel, the stop bead wall having an engaging surface for engaging plaster or stucco and a frame/jamb facing surface, and a spacing member formed on the stop bead and extending outwardly away from the frame/jamb facing surface of the stop bead wall, the spacing member forming the leading edge of the first side portion of the stop bead and forming gap between the stop bead wall and the frame/jamb.
Wall cladding system
A system and method for cladding a building. The system comprises a rigid base layer supported by an exterior exposed surface of the building and a metal mesh secured and retained in direct contact with an exterior surface of the rigid base layer with fasteners. The system further comprises a layer of a base coat applied over the metal mesh so as to form a matrix therearound and a finishing barrier layer applied over the matrix of the metal mesh and the base coat layer. The method comprises securing the rigid base layer to an exterior exposed surface of the building, securing and retaining a metal mesh in direct contact to the exterior surface of the rigid base layer with fasteners, applying a cement base coat over the metal mesh so as to form a matrix therearound and applying a finishing barrier layer over the base coat.
Stucco-Based Surfacing System And Method
A building surfacing system is described, the system including a stucco substrate affixed to and disposed upon a support panel, a primer coating applied to a surface of the stucco substrate so as to form a primed stucco substrate, a first sealant coating applied to the primed stucco substrate, an intermediate mesh layer disposed upon the first sealant coating, and a second sealant coating applied to the intermediate mesh layer while the intermediate mesh layer is disposed upon the first sealant coating. A related method for providing a water-proof exterior surface to a building structure is further described.
