TOP OF WALL VENTILATION SCREED DEVICE AND ASSEMBLY
A ventilation screed configured to be mounted at a vertical wall of a structure includes an attachment flange having an upper end region and a lower end region opposite the upper end region. A cavity structure is disposed along the upper end region of the attachment flange. The cavity structure has a first side, a second side, and a third side. The first side extends from the upper end region of the attachment flange. The third side extends over the first side and is spaced from the first side and from the upper end region of the attachment flange. The second side extends between the first side and the third side. At least one ventilation opening is formed through the first side of the cavity structure. A ventilation spacer extends from the first side of the cavity structure and is spaced from and extends partially along the attachment flange.
Profile System for Intersecting Joints
A profile system includes elongate profiles (2) for terminating installed tiles with a uniform, substantially L-shaped cross-section comprising a fastening leg (5) for fastening to a substrate and forming a bearing surface. An adjoining, substantially perpendicular, boundary leg (6) forms a contact surface for the tiles and each of the front ends (12) of the boundary leg forms a contact surface provided with a receiving opening (13) for receiving a connecting element (4). At least one corner connecting piece (3) is configured to visually connect the front ends (12) of the boundary legs of three profiles (2). At least two connecting elements (4) are configured so that one exposed end is inserted into the receiving opening (13) of a profile (2) for terminating installed tiles and an other exposed end is inserted into the receiving recess (24) of a corner connecting piece (3).
Support bracket assembly and method
A masonry veneer support assembly for mounting masonry veneer to supporting wall structure. The support assembly has a first shelf angle, a second shelf angle, and a first shelf angle mounting bracket. Each shelf angle mounting bracket has an upwardly extending back that mounts to the supporting wall structure, and a web extending forwardly away from the wall structure. The web has first and second shelf angle mounting seats formed therein. The first shelf angle mounting seat is upwardly spaced from the second shelf angle mounting seat. A second shelf angle mounting bracket may be spaced apart horizontally from the first shelf angle mounting bracket.
BEAD STOP FOR A WALL HAVING INTERIOR CEMENT BOARD LAYER
Methods, systems, and an apparatus for constructing a termination point n a wall are provided. A stop bead apparatus is attached to exterior sheathing of the wall at a terminating location of the wall. An edge of a rigid, cured cement hoard is inserted into a gap formed between a base panel and a front wail of the stop head apparatus. The cement board is secured to the exterior sheathing, wherein at least a portion of the base panel of the stop head apparatus is positioned between the exterior sheathing and the cement board. A finish layer is applied to an exterior surface of the cement board.
Heat-applied gap finishing tape
A gap finishing tape for use with drywall applications includes a trim strip body extending along a central body axis, a hot melt adhesive extending along the central body axis, and a backing paper. The trim strip body includes a first surface, a second surface opposite the first surface, a first side, and a second side opposite the first side, and is at least partially constructed from a metallic material. The backing paper is at least partially secured to the second surface of the trim strip body. The trim strip body is at least partially embedded in the hot melt adhesive.
Hinging Drywall Apparatus and Method
Described herein is a drywall apparatus and method. The apparatus includes a finishing drywall liner, a framing drywall liner, a first gypsum-containing segment between the finishing drywall liner and the framing drywall liner, and a second gypsum-containing segment between the finishing drywall liner and the framing drywall liner. The first segment and the second segment are connected by a hinge formed from the finishing drywall liner and the framing drywall liner to allow an angle between the first segment and the second segment to vary.
Drainage channel for use in a building wall
The disclosure provides example drainage channels, drainage systems, building walls and methods. An example drainage channel includes a drainage panel for conveying water within a building wall. The drainage panel is impermeable and has a first end and a second end. A support panel is coupled to the first end or the second end of the drainage panel such that the support panel is configured to be arranged vertically relative to the building wall. The drainage panel is configured to be arranged either perpendicular to an exterior sheathing of the building wall or angled downward from the first end of the drainage panel toward both the second end of the drainage panel and the exterior sheathing of the building wall.
WEEPING CONTROL JOINT SYSTEM
Drainage channels are added to a control joint to provide a weeping control joint wherein condensate or other sources of water that finds its way between the stucco and the substrate, above the weeping control joint, flows through the channels to the exterior surface of the stucco below the weeping control joint.
JOINT STRIP FOR REINFORCEMENT OF DRYWALL PANEL JOINTS
A joint strip for reinforcement of drywall panel joints as well as for a method for reinforcing panel joints i.e. around a corner of a window or door opening is disclosed.
Article to suppress drywall cracking at interior corners
An article to suppress cracking of drywall at interior corners features a thin metal brace that includes a piece of sheet metal between 3 and 30 gauge thickness. If the device as-produced or as-received starts out as a flat sheet of metal, the base or flange of the device is then bent at about a 90 degree angle with respect to the rest of the devicethe tongue. When the base or flange is then placed flat along the side of a stud or framing, the tongue of the device will then lie flat or flush along the front side of the stud, but at an angle, for example, 45 degrees, with respect to the longitudinal axis of the stud. In a door or window frame, another stud will intersect the first stud at a right angle. Where the tongue crosses this second stud, the tongue may be fastened to this second stud. In another embodiment, the tongue may be bent or folded over and fastened to the side of the stud. This device can be fastened with screws, nails, or staples, as well as a pressed gang plate system. Thus, the instant device serves to tie the framing members together.
