MANUFACTURED BUILDING PANEL ASSEMBLY
A method of fabricating panels includes providing an insert having an interior portion with a top portion and a positioning stop opposite the top portion, and an exterior portion including a fastener hem. Further, the method includes placing the insert in a mold such that only the fastener hem and the positioning stop contact the mold and centering the insert in the mold with the top portion and the positioning stop. The method also includes filling the mold with a casting material such that the interior portion is submerged in the casting material including the top portion, but some of the positioning stop is not submerged in the casting material, curing the casting material to form a panel on the insert, and removing the panel form the mold.
Wall system with fulcrum release and replaceable units
A reconfigurable wall panel system configured to enable rapid attachment and removal of a wide range of interchangeable wall units and accessories is disclosed. One or more embodiments comprise a reconfigurable wall panel having a wall frame with one or more design spaces, each design space having opposing upper and lower grooves and a depression serving as a fulcrum for insertion of interchangeable wall units. Embodiments of interchangeable wall units may include one or more facing features, as well as upper and lower edges corresponding to the opposing upper and lower grooves of the one or more design spaces, the interchangeable wall units being configured to tilt into the depression and slide into a removably secured position within the respective design space.
JOINER CLIP
A joiner clip for securing panels to a substrate is provided that includes a sheet of material that has a first portion, a second portion, a first face, and a second face. On the first face, a first anchoring cleat is located in the first portion and a second anchoring cleat is located in the second portion. A spaced guide is positioned between the first portion and the second portion of the sheet on the first face. A mounting hole is formed through the sheet and is positioned colinear with the spacer guide. A fastener from the second face secures the joiner clip and panels to a vertical stud substrate. A construction unit including the joiner clip for securing panels of material to a vertical stud substrate is also provided. A butt joint is readily formed between two secured panels.
Methods and systems for constructing or retrofitting electromagnetically shielded facilities
Electromagnetically shielding an enclosable structure having a floor, walls, a ceiling, and at least one closeable opening by applying a shielding wallcovering to at least a portion of one of the walls and applying a second type of shielding material to at least a portion of the enclosable structure, wherein the second type of shielding material differs from the shielding wallcovering. The shielding wall covering is wallpaper comprising a metal-coated broad good and a resin. Other types of shielding material may include a transparent, shielding window covering such as NiCVD coated screen of woven silk fibers; shielded flooring such as a layered combinations of Kevlar non-woven as a base layer, nickel-coated non-woven layers, and a PCF toughened polymer; and a transition shielding strip made of a base layer of the shielding wallpaper with a PCF toughened polymer coating over a portion of the strip.
Wrap Systems
This application describes tank wrap systems that cover containers. The tank wrap systems include tank wraps having a single sheet of a first polymer having an interior surface formed of the first polymer that faces a container, and an exterior surface formed of the first polymer that faces opposite the interior surface. A first coupling member formed of a second polymer is affixed to the exterior surface of the single sheet, and the first coupling member is couplable to a second coupling member of another tank wrap to couple the tank wrap and the other tank wrap and allow the tank wrap system to removably cover the exterior of the container.
Composite insulating panel
An insulating siding panel comprises a backing member, a siding member, and a tongue. The backing member comprises a front face, a rear face, a top face, and a bottom face. A groove is defined in the bottom face that is adapted to receive the tongue. The siding member comprises a veneer, a bottom lip, a nailing divot, and a tongue extending upwards beyond the backing member. When panels are laid upon each vertically, the nailing divot of the lower panel may be concealed by a front section of the backing member of the upper panel.
System for mounting wall panels to a wall
A system for mounting wall panels to an existing wall, includes adjustment support members secured to an existing wall and including a platform and a side wall extending from a side thereof and including elongated slots therein; connecting panels connecting together spaced apart adjustment support members, each connecting panel including a main panel and a side wall having a slot therein which opens at one edge of the side wall for receipt in an elongated slot; and a hook member including a securing section to which a wall panel is mounted, an L-shaped hook wall so as to receive a connecting panel in a space between the L-shaped hook wall and the securing section, and an adjustment arrangement for adjusting a position of the hook wall on the securing section so as to move the hook wall toward and away from the securing section.
Lap siding product with snap break
A lap siding product with a central face cut, allowing an installer or user to break the lap siding product in half manually, without tools, resulting in two pieces of lap siding. The central face cut extends for the length of the product, and its depth is a substantial portion of the thickness of the lap siding product. A central back cut opposite to the central face cut may be provided, as well as a pair of back spacing cuts along the edges of the back face of the product. A pair of machined nail lines on the face of the product assist in determining locations for nailing the post-break pieces of lap siding during installation.
Polymer-based bracket system for exterior cladding
A system for supporting exterior panels or cladding units on a building substrate. The system includes a plurality of polymeric bracket members, wherein each of the polymeric bracket members further includes an anchor section, adapted to be coupled to the building substrate, and a support section adapted to couple to the exterior cladding unit. In assembly, as disposed between the building substrate and the exterior cladding units, the polymeric bracket members provide a thermal break from the exterior cladding units to the building substrate.
