20230119188 · 2023-04-20 ·

A mounting clip assembly for attaching a girt to a substrate, includes a bracket and isolator pad. The bracket includes a substrate fastening plate for mounting the bracket to a building substrate, and a girt fastening plate protruding orthogonally outward from a first face of the substrate fastening plate. The girt fastening plate has a top edge, and a bottom edge that extends at an upward angle from the substrate fastening plate, such that the vertical fastening plate is substantially trapezoidal. A girt may be fastened to the mounting clip assembly in a first fastening region. A cavity is formed in the girt fastening plate ata location between the substrate fastening plate and the fastening region to reduce thermal conductance between the fastening region and the substrate fastening plate. The cavity is reinforced by thickening material around a periphery of the cavity. The thermal isolator pad is mountable between a second face of the substrate fastening plate and the substrate.

PRESSURE EQUALIZED RAINSCREEN SYSTEMS AND METHODS
20220325529 · 2022-10-13 ·

Systems and methods for a pressure equalized rainscreen (PER) and for mounting the same to a building. A PER system includes a panel disposed over an exterior wall that defines a cavity adjacent to the building for pressure equalization. Moisture is drained out of the cavity via a first opening(s), and air flows into and out of the cavity for pressure equalization via a second opening(s). The panel is configured to hinder flowing air via the first opening(s) and hinder draining moisture via the second opening(s). The PER system is mounted using a plurality of mounting strips that demarcate wall portions corresponding to panels for covering those wall portions. Each panel is movably engaged with a mounting strip for support and to allow deformation of the panel once fastened to the exterior wall.

A panel system consisting of a panel having a repetitive pattern of aligned peaks and valleys, a series of ledges associated with the valleys and configured such that at least a portion of each ledge extends beyond adjacent peaks, and a plurality of clips, wherein each clip is attachable to a ledge and is further configured to attach to and support a product.

Siding including integrated light source

The present disclosure relates generally to cladding, for example, suitable for use covering the exterior surface of a building. The present disclosure relates more particularly to a siding panel including a light source. The siding panel includes a panel body having a length extending from a first end to a second end, a width extending from a first edge to a second edge, a front face, and a rear face. A first lock extends along the first edge of the panel body and a second lock extending along the second edge of the panel body. A fastening strip is coupled to the first lock. A light source extending along the length of the panel body is secured to the panel body so as to provide light from the front face of the panel body.

DECORATIVE STRUCTURE, PANEL MATERIAL, AND METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING DECORATIVE STRUCTURE

A decorative structure includes: a plurality of base materials extending in a first direction and provided in parallel with each other at predetermined intervals in a second direction intersecting the first direction; and a plurality of panel materials, each of the plurality of panel materials being attached to two base materials adjacent to each other in the second direction among the plurality of base materials. Each of the plurality of base materials includes a protrusion protruding in the second direction. Each of the plurality of panel materials includes a body including an outer edge portion having a square shape in a plan view, and four legs provided along four sides of the outer edge portion. The panel material is attached by inserting the protrusion of one of the two base materials through an insertion hole provided in one of the four legs.

Apparatus for improving the acoustics of an interior space, a system incorporating said apparatus and method of using said apparatus
09845598 · 2017-12-19 ·

An acoustic panel for use in an interior space is disclosed along with a system and method for using two or more of such panels to improve the acoustics of the interior space. Each acoustic panel comprises a substrate and a plurality of nodules affixed to the substrate wherein each nodule has a width and a substantially right triangular shape across the entire width with a first leg of the right triangular shape substantially perpendicular to the substrate, a base of the right triangular shape substantially parallel to the substrate and a hypotenuse, the first leg of each nodule having a height that is substantially less than a length of a quarter wave formed in the interior space by a lower frequency signal. For any one particular acoustic panel, the nodules are oriented such that their hypotenuse slopes right, left, down or up as determined for each nodule by a predetermined, generally desired direction for redirecting the sound while providing fractal-chaotic differentiality in the portion of the sound waves that are reflected by the acoustic panel.
