Housing Construction System
20190071869 · 2019-03-07 ·

A wall surfacing system for providing a secondary ceiling or wall covering structure adjacent a primary structure. The system provides a plurality of elongated structural support rails, each of these support rails have a coupling web with a bearing surface for attachment to the primary structure, a coupling mechanism, and a portion integrally formed with and connecting the coupling web to the coupling mechanism. A plurality of generally planar surface panels are provided. Each panel has an integral interlocking member configured to mate with the coupling mechanism on the support rail. The elongated support rails are secured to primary structures, thereby extending the surface panels to form an aesthetically pleasing covered surface.

SELF-SPACING LAP SIDING PRODUCT

A lap siding product with a unique shiplap joint that spaces abutting pieces of siding correctly from each other without installer measurements. The shiplap joint comprises a bottom element and a top element. A lap siding panel or board has a bottom element shiplap joint at one end, and a top elements shiplap joint at the other end. The corresponding ends of two lap siding panels or boards (i.e., one bottom element and one top element) together form the unique shiplap joint of the present invention. An engineered stop on the underside of the top element spaces the pieces of siding correctly, without requiring measurement during installation. This also eliminates the need for caulk, pan flashing or joint covers in the joint between the pieces of siding or cladding. The shape of the joint also reduces the intrusion of water, and re-directs water down and out from behind the siding.

Panel mounting system, method of providing a façade lining to building, and combination of parts for use in a panel mounting system

The invention relates to a panel-mounting system for the faade lining of a building, comprising a conduit for a fluid, elongate profiles configured to be fixed to a building wall, panels for forming the faade lining by fixing them onto the profiles, wherein for each of the profiles an elongate contact area is defined between the profile and a panel which is fixed to that profile. At least some profiles comprise an elongate metallic heat conductor which is connected to the profile, arranged for exchanging heat conductively, through the contact area, between fluid in the conduit and the at least one panel fixed to that profile. The invention also relates to a method of providing a faade lining to a building wall, using such a system, and to a combination of parts for use in such a system.

A wall cladding panel comprising a substantially planar front face, a rear face comprising a plurality of drainage channels and a plurality of spacer sections disposed between the drainage channels, and an edge member disposed contiguously between the front face and the rear face. The wall cladding panel is locally thinner at the drainage channels than at the spacer sections. Each drainage channel is configured to form a liquid flow path and/or an air gap when a substantially planar building surface is placed adjacent to the rear face. A plurality of wall cladding panels with drainage channels may be arranged in series to cover at least a portion of a building.

A panel is disclosed for use in insulating an edifice that includes a first pane, a second pane in engagement with the first pane so as to define a channel there between configured and dimensioned for drainage and air flow, a clip in engagement with the first and second panes, and an insulator including an upper portion that is positioned within the clip. A system for use in insulating an edifice includes identical panels, wherein the insulator of one panel is positionable within the clip of another panel to connect the panels together. A panel clip for use in insulating an edifice includes a first arm defining an outer surface with a plurality of connectors, a saddle extending from the first arm, and a second arm connected to the saddle opposite the first arm such that the clip is generally H-shaped in configuration.

CLADDING SYSTEM

A cladding system for covering an exterior wall is provided. The cladding system includes a panel for assembling on the exterior wall and an anchor for securing the panel to the exterior wall. The panel has a body with channels formed on a rear side thereof for draining water on an interior surface of the channel which is spaced away from the exterior wall. The anchor comprises tabs for fitting in to the channels and preventing a pull-out and/or a push-in of the panel relative to the exterior wall. The anchor cooperates with the panel to direct water into the drainage channels, and to define a continuous drainage path from top to bottom of the cladding system.

Trim components for lapboard siding that are co-extruded from wood-plastic composites and polyvinyl chloride

A lapboard siding and trim system is provided in which trim siding components for board-and-batten siding and associated trim components are manufactured using a co-extrusion process, whereby wood/thermoplastic resin composite material and polyvinyl chloride thermoplastic resins are co-extruded through a single die assembly, thereby producing a trim piece having a plastic composite component, that will be visible following installation, fused under heat and pressure to the polyvinyl chloride standoff and attachment fins, that will be hidden following installation. Also provided is a lapboard siding and trim system in which siding components for clapboard siding are manufactured by extruding wood/thermoplastic resin composite material through a die. Associated trim components are manufactured using the co-extrusion process described above. The siding and trim components are completely waterproof, and installation proceeds with almost no face nailing and almost no caulk.

A system for providing siding to a building is disclosed. The system utilizes components which have their own brackets with attachment flanges in order to connect directly to an exterior wall of the building. The brackets contain their own integrated water control systems, which co-act with those of other components to control and direct water into vertical channels and out from behind the siding system. These flanges double as self-contained flashing. In all the system presents a roof-to-foundation siding system that is self-contained and fully transitional from one piece to another.
